I'd like to see Cam 'evolve' to running less. I loved the play several games ago when he did what I call 'the The Golden Calf of Bristol', in that he took the snap in the shotgun, gestured like he was running a QB draw, ran towards the line, then jumped up and threw a TD pass! It was beautiful. But the more he runs, the more of a beating he will take, and the risk increases for an injury. But he is special to behold. The rules clamping down on hitting are having a huge effect on the numbers QBs all around the league are putting up, and Cam has benefited as well. But it is fun to finally have an innovative offense. If we can just get our defense and STs' up to speed, we will be dangerous for some time to come!

Folks, once the Panthers can built up the defense with some star players, I am convinced that the Panthers have a real good chance of winning a Super Bowl in the next 2 seasons.

After watching all of Cam's games at Auburn and now nearly a full season in the NFL, it's obvious that Cam Newton really could be "the Michael Jordan of the NFL" ... just an incredible player nearly every game. He's about to finish his year of being a puppy in the NFL and making some mistakes ... along with the awesome games he's had of course.

Once Cam minimizes those mistakes and gets super accurate like Drew Brees throwing the ball, he might be one of the best NFL QBs ever. He might be passing the ball as well as Aaron Rodgers and Tom Brady and running the ball as well as Michael Vick in the next year or two.

No doubt about it. The Panthers hit the lottery with Cam. He was totally worth the #1 overall pick. The future looks bright for the Panthers. We have good receivers, great running backs, a Pro Bowl center and Cam Newton. Now, Rivera needs to work like crazy on building an elite DEFENSE to go with all that offensive firepower.
