Maybe the Best Game You'll Never Get To Play

The US Army has been building a training game for its soldiers to play, and the company behind the project, called RealTime Immersive, Inc., has just released two trailers showing off the game's graphics, powered by CryEngine 3. If it looks good, it's because the powers that be have spent $57 million on the project. For that price, there better be dedicated servers and LAN support.

Keep in mind this is just a tease -- this game is meant for internal training by the Army, and so it isn't something the public will get to play in any major way. Besides, can the Army hire a group of racist teenagers to yell at soldiers as they perform the in-game training operations?

Fairly impressive but I doubt it is in working condition to where it could actually be played (by the public or not), which is the difficult part.

the graphics themselves aren't impressive. the amount of calculations the software engine and hardware are running is very impressive.

pretty fuging bad ass actually. i'd really like to know the specs.

that game doesn't seem to handle just what's on screen or in the immediate area, but everything on the map simultaneously

and those are some really large, intricate maps with thousands of moving parts

Looks set up and not actual gameplay. It may be in-game, but looks like they were kind of directing everything (as you can see with whatever editor they have near the end of the video).

Yeah but wait till your save file is about 11 mb and the lag hits.
