Another greg hardy thread

Most defensive ends take a couple of years to get it together. There are exceptions, but some of the best ever didn't start becoming a force till their 3rd year.

Greg Hardy could and might be just another Al Wallace backup type DE. Which is still a good thing. But still to early to tell right now.

He has trouble setting the edge sometimes, and he gets too far upfield sometimes, but he will figure it out soon enough, I believe.

I don't think he's gonna be a star, but has potential to be a solid starter. Game experience from this season and a full off season with the coaches will help him a lot next year.

I like Heiser... he won't be a star either but he's a high motor guy and has potential to be a solid backup and possibly more, plus you gotta pull for these underdog un-drafted guys.

I usually allow three seasons to evaluate, unless other circumstance intercede, ie arrests, etc.

Maybe its just me, but he always seems to be making plays, whether its hurrying the QB, knocking down passes, whatever. He has earned an opportunity to start next year at the very least.

And lets be honest, he's shown far more than most of the other young guys on the defense

Haven't seen so many clueless people since Jordan retired and Bulls fans still thought they'd be relevant. Hardy out performed Johnson the entire game today..in or out. So I guess CJ is a glorified backup to? Why do some of you just have to find something to whine about? I mean honestly?

Something much more productive could be done, like figuring out why Jordan Senn continuously gets beat like a dog in pass coverage.

Not trying to be a jerk man, but for some reason people keep wanting to attack Hardy and bring no real findings to support their claim. Hardy is a very solid #2 DE. Sure he is average against the run, but he has been a dynamo against the pass. He's been extremely consistent and always seems to come up with a big play when needed. To me that's not a glorified backup. All of this same stuff was in the other Hardy thread.

I wasnt attacking him at all and to me i guess having peppers spoiled me a little. I focused in on him for only a bit and saw him make a great play and get beat on others mostly in the run. So i made a thread and asked a question.

I also never even read the other hardy thread since i have been away from these boards a bit.
