Why Is Armanti Edwards Still Returning Punts?

Cut your thread down because, well, excuses are all that is there, or strange rationalization and surely you can't be comparing AE to the players you name.

In the NFL, best players play.

AE had many opportunties during training camp, he failed, hands of stone.

Odds are he has had opportunties at practice and didn't shine.

As badly as coaches want to win, if they felt he had any ability, whatsoever, he'd be on the field and if all he is good for is standing there fielding punts the Panthers can and should, do better.

If he can learn to catch a punt he can learn to catch a pass. Hopefully for another team.

Armanti needs to get out of Carolina, period. Haters are going to hate and homers are going to love. Haters will be happy he's gone and can move on to complaining about the wasted picks and the homers should be happy for him because he might wind up somewhere where they will alow him to learn and develop and he's not being ripped apart by fans who hated the pick and whose expeciations were way too high for a kid trying to convert to another position at the top football level in the world. Not exactly the best time to try and change. I hope they cut him and I will wish him the best wherever he winds up. Anywhere but here, where the hatred and vitroil for him, App State, and Boone is just unbelievable.

Really? Thats pretty fuged up. You are apparently drunk.

I hope everyone that went to your community college gets murdered as well.

Lay off the guy. He most likely went to Western Carolina, that's the only place I can envision someone having that much hate for App. Of course, Western is essentially the same thing as a community college.

Hey look, it's a homer!

Wow, I'm impressed. And I thought I hid it so well.:D

You can be a homer, but there is no way that you can be mad at the fans for being pissed at where/how he was drafted. Had he been drafted in the 5-6 round (which in reality is where he should have gone), no one would have really cared about him in the NFL except for App State fans.

We as Panther fans trust the FO at making good decisions for the Draft. When they fail, we not only take out the blame on the FO, but also the player for not living up to whatever expectations they were supposed to live up too.

You are correct, he needs another shot.....however on another team...

I think if you re-read the post you quoted you will see that I said, I believe, three times that he needed to be on another team.

I do disagree about blaming the player and where they were drafted. I don't recall Armanti standing outside the Panthers headquarters with a sign saying "trade away a pick and draft me". No one can know how any college player will play in the NFL. Some of the most "NFL ready players" have turned out to be huge busts. And some of the "Not ready for the NFL" players (as Cam was said to be, even on here by many people) turn out to be great players. In fact, if you look back to posts I made last year I said he was drafted way too high and would take several years to develop into an NFL player, if at all. I just think blaming him for moves the front office and coaches did or did not do is wrong. That was something that was completely out of his control and he was thrown to the wolves at feeding time.
