All-Time Panthers Team:

It's weird. I don't know if I believe in just inserting the best talent gives you the best team you can have (ask Redskin fans). A lot of what makes a team great is chemistry. We put these "best" players in their prime on one team, hey, they might make some plays, but they might also not work together very well. Maybe the all time Panthers team was the one that made the Superbowl in 2003. They reached heights of which the Panthers never saw before, or since.

Well that was pretty much perfectly stated...

Williams did more already.

Williams had more yards and touchdowns last year than Davis ever did in the span of a single season.

Again, Williams>Davis.

until williams produces consistent numbers in multiple seasons...

davis > williams.

in his prime 99-2003, davis had 1 season of 1300+ yards and 3 1400+ yards.

by your logic (basing everything on a single season)..

stewart > williams seeing as how stewart set franchise records his rookie season while williams did nothing.

and he did it playing second fiddle to a much better starter (williams) than williams (foster), didn't start a single game, almost no offseason workout, coming off surgery, and playing banged up for 3-4 games.

I'd take a better back 4 just for that game ;)

You know there is a thing on the Panthers website called all time leaders you may wanna check it out. Williams has already decimated everyones records except Fosters in yards and attempts only because Foster had played for the Panthers longer than Williams has. WILLIAMS>>>>>>>>>>>>davis. I loved davis don't get me wrong but Williams is a helluva lot better player than davis was.

Williams is better now than Davis was, IMO, and he (hopefully) will continue to be.

In the end this is all just opinions.
