Well the Bucs are remembered for their december run and not the 12 games they were 9-3 with Bryant pulling top 10 receiver numbers out and the defense allowing only 1 rushing touchdown and 100 yard rusher in the same game. That means 11 games without 100+ yards or a touchdown. We even shut AP down of all backs which is the determing factor, injuries hit and all of a sudden we are 9-7 and remembered as a failure when thats not necessarily the case. Thats the same as you guys playing strong all year and getting embarrased at home in the Championship game. The Panthers could win any given sunday, but what team can't? (Browns vs Giants, Raiders vs Bucs)

Just take a look at your 12-4 record though... you guys did win 12 but there were times you guys easily could have been the 9-7 team in the Bucs shoes. So a record doesn't necessarily imply how talented a team actually is...

Week 1 - San Diego W 26-24, desperation touchdown pass into triple man coverage

Week 2 - Chicago W 20-17, they had you guys against the ropes but again, you found a way to win

Week 3 - Minnesota L 20-10 and people have them slated to lose to you guys? They have the same core that handled you guys last season.

Week 4 - ATL W 24-9, Matt Ryan shakin the rookie jitters off but still your most decisive win to this point

Week 5 - KC W 34-0, spanked em as you should have

Week 6 - TB 27-3 L, worst loss of the season, everything went wrong here

Week 7 - NO 30-7 W, Kicked the crap out of the #1 offense

Week 8 - Ari 27-23 W, they had you guys beat and tried a stupid fake field goal, they gave you guys this win, shoulda been a loss

Week 9 - Bye Week

Week 10 - Oakland 17-6 W, if you remember this game you remember Jake struggling horribly which later became case in the playoffs.. Half a offense woulda put Carolina away

Week 11 - DET 31-22 W, beat on em but they did surprise you guys quite a bit I'd say

Week 12 - ATL 28-45 L, this was another embarassing loss

Week 13 - GB 35-31 W, late miracle catch by Steve Smith and the Pack had control alot of the game... don't look for Charles Woodson to make that same mistake time and time again

Week 14 - TB 38-23 W, close till the last 2 minutes when you guys finally sealed the deal

Week 15 - Denver 30-10 W

Week 16 - NYG L 34-28, shouldn't have even lost this one but you couldn't stop their ground game in the end. Probablly the most disappointing loss for Panthers fans.

Week 17 - NO 33-31 W, You had them down 3 scores and they came back and took the lead from you guys... took your final drive to finish them off and Brees hit 5,000 yards passing and nearly 400 yards passing

So look at that 12-4 record and tell me how many games you guys could have lost and how many games you guys decisively won. Not many in your favor of decisively winning, most Panthers fans give their team more credit then they should as you guys don't typically finish games off in a dominating fashion like implied time and time again. Not to mention, your schedule is harder this year.

Wel that post showed exactly that your basis for football resides merely in Madden.

See, here is the difference between Carolina and TB.....we find ways to win the game.....TB just rolls over and loses.

You Fail!!! Back down to the basement with you.

I knew I had you sniffed out to be a troll, but I gave you the benefit of the doubt. My mistake.

Here's the facts. Tough teams find ways to win. We did that quite a bit last season. We had our share of thumpings from the falcons and bucs. But we still bounced back and still kept the race from getting away from us. Do you want to put this all to luck? If so you really are a blind troll and Im sorry I wasted my time. Otherwise give credit when credit is due. Our team didn't lay down after a thumping. Yours did.

Yea, yet you can goto Weeks 6 and 12 respectively and look how great you guys found ways to close games out. Barely winning doesn't mean your team was that far off from losing, or could have lost... Stop overcrediting your team. Tampa was 9-3 just like Carolina until a last season collapse. That can happen to any team, plenty of great teams have collapsed. Go look at Peyton Manning in NFC Championship games. Seemed like he always found a way to lose till luck played into his favor.

And I always fail, especially when teams with a below .500 W/L record nearly put you guys away multiple games last year. Having luck one year, doesn't mean it'll carry over. Go have winning seasons back to back years, then you can speak.

Back to the basement for me and back to collecting your welfare check.

You guys did have a good share of luck, you also had solid play from Smith all year to keep the chains moving and a great running attack. Your defense rolled over the 2nd half of the season though and the defense is the thing keeping you guys from winning a ring... that and Jake not finishing the biggest games of his career off, even if he did finish the less meaningful games out in a good fashion.

All you need to remember is............

Panthers 12-4 NFC South Champs

Bucs........miss playoffs again.

Thanks for playing...try again.

See this is what I mean. You are a moron sir. And a hypocrit. So when the Panthers win by one it was a close loss, but when the bucs do it they almost won? Are you that dense? The fact of the matter is yes we were both 9-3. One team finished, which shows character of the team, and the other collapsed after a loss instead of fueling the fire.

We have areas on defense to address, you are right about that. But to say we are that far away as a team this year compared to last, is laughable. Just remember buddy, the Steelers had the hardest schedule last season too. And they found a way.

The Bucs are on a even playing field as the Panthers, you guys are trying to portray the Panthers as being better then they actually are and your team has only taken more bumps this year then last season.

And yea, there were plenty of factors that made our defense collapse as I've covered it time and time again about injuries and Kiffin coaching half hearted.

Don't forget the Bucs went into Atlanta and forced them into OT with Brian Griese at the helm passing and the same beat up D that played Carolina... I seem to remember the Falcons winning 45-28 vs you guys last season at their place. The Bucs will always put up a good fight win or loss and your just trying to discredit them here as I'm discrediting the Panthers 12 wins as they really never controlled all that many games last year but managed to muster out a win and yea, I know about a team having heart and grit to win... 2002 Bucs are the case in point for that one.

This is the NFL. Most games are close. That is the difference in going to the playoffs and staying home.

Most people don't realize that in the NFL, the difference between 10-6 (playoffs) and 6-10 (at home) may literally be two plays and two key injuries.

Lone Buc may be right in his assertion that the Panthers weren't that much better than them with 3 more wins, but that's the way it is every year. Win your close games and quit making excuses, Succaneers.

Yea and Hatter, all you need to remember is...

Same QB who turned it over 6 times @ home in the biggest game of the year

Harder schedule then your 12-4 miracle season

Bucs being one of 6 teams in the NFL to repeat winning seasons and not going from first to worst since the South was established, its about consistency not playing off a fluke.

And yea... Ring Count: Bucs 1 - Panthers 0 as you lost your 1st shot, something the Bucs didn't pull off and miracuously.. it was Jake Delhome at QB then lol...

Come back during the season...say about week 7 when you are already 3 games down in the division.

That 12-4 miracle season we had played the same teams (less 2) that the Bucs did...and what was your record again? That's right...choked down the stretch and let the Raiders kick your ass at home to eliminate you from the playoffs.

Thanks for playing.....you fail.
