Why does ESPN find it necessary in its mock drafts to make 1/4 of the first round picks players from UNC or Alabama?

I could see that working out, as well.

We're in a situation where we really need defensive players, no matter how supposedly good the WRs are.

Our pass defense isn't very good, and until Fua was taken out of the game, we were doing horribly against the run. We have one of the leagues best passing attacks. Why do we need a WR?

Also, for the people saying trade down... Why? Why do you want to get lower level caliber players, instead of a high quality player? Quality over Quantity any day of the week.

I really really want Morris Claiborne the corner. Have you seen this guy beasting? Unbelievable. Reminds me of Revis....a true shutdown corner.

CB and WR in the Top Ten picks are the biggest gambles you can ever take. "Shutdown" corners in college ball all of a sudden become... meh... in the NFL. EVERY receiver in the NFL was/is a college star.

Now its obvious that some college CBs do make it the NFL and do become shutdown corners. But its as risky as it gets when it comes to scouting and drafting. OL, DL, LB, and RB are always safer bets with Top Ten picks.

2( Seyi and Armanti) of those guys might not be on the roster next year, plus LN might not be here as well. Gettis is coming off a torn acl what better way to push those guys thru competition. if Blackmon is there and he is an elite talent you take him. think the lions said hey Nick Fairley is on the board, why take him when we got a stud like Suh already.

We have the 5th Ranked offense with NO Offseason, A rookie QB, and a New Coaching Staff. That can only get better with more exp. Added another young WR isn't going to make us the greatest show on Truf. Really adding another WR is taking touches away from our RB's, TE's, and snaps from our other young WR.

Even if you cut TUTU and Edwards you still have Lafell, Adams, Gettis, and Key. All under 26 years old. Give them a chance to develop.

NO because we don't need either one of them. Trying to get the ball and run plays for Blackmon takes away plays for Shockey,Olson,Dwill,Jstew and the other 4 wr (not name smith) under 26 years old.
