Todd McShay's 1st NFL Mock Draft

Not saying we would have Blackmon fall to us, but if we did then we would be crazy not to take him. IMO, he is the closes draft prospect to guaranteed elite status. And even tho WR is not our biggest need, it is a need. At least replacing an aging smitty is a need.

Think outside the box, if we had Blackmon as a #2 WR then we are good for keeping prolly 30% of our stalled drives alive, thus keeping momentum on our side and defense rested.

Blackmon?

No chance, the Panthers are playing themselves into a draft position where taking a defensive stud makes sense.

FFS, Steve Smith is the Number 2 receiver in the NFC and averaging 18 YPC. What does he have to do to earn the respect he deserves?

Going WR would be as stupid as Hurney taking Stewart with our 1st pick 2 years after he took DWill Number 1.

Oh, never mind.

Go defense Hurney, don't be a fuging idiot.

Taking Blackmon with our first pick is not a slap in the face to Smitty. Smitty was quoted as saying he would love to be the Donald Driver of the Panthers, meaning he would love to have some young stud run all the deep routes while he plays in the slot.

Drafting a guy like Blackmon would add years to Smith's career, so don't look at it as a slap in the face, because it's not.

First of all, no way Blackmon falls to #9. NO WAY that happens. We won't even have the option. Claiborne has got to be the #1 guy on our list. If he goes, Kirkpatrick is the guy. If neither of them are available then fug it, I don't know what to do.

Buuuut, if for some reason Blackmon did fall to #9 and Claiborne/Kirkpatrick are gone....it'd be hard to pass on talent like that.

Stalled drives can be fixed with a full offseason and more exp. in this offense.

We already have enough weapons. Our RB already don't get enough touches. Can people just be cool and let Lafell (25), Gettis(24), Pilares (23), Adams (22),Seyi Ajirotutu (23), and Edwards (23). That's 6 young wr with 1-2 years

exp.

Can we please give them time to develop?

Smitty hasn't made these comments since Lafell started to get better and we added Olsen and Shockey.

Again how many times do you want to throw a game?

It's a waste of a pick to get another WR when you have 6 on the roster who haven't had a chance to develop.
