Cam received votes for the 2011 AP Male Athlete of the Year

Rodgers won. Pretty crazy considering it's for only his pro career (maybe the BCS Championship as well?). Do you guys think he deserves consideration?

I'm happy he got them but I don't know if he deserves them over Dirk Nowitzki

It's clear Cam's career might follow that of Aaron Rodgers if given a chance. Nothing is going to be handed to him, just like with Rodgers.

Aaron Rodgers was never really given a free pass. He has had to prove himself from since his days in college. And even thou Cam has accomplished a lot while in college, it's clear there are many who are willing to quickly dismiss them as flukes or one hit wonders.

Even on this site, it's obvious that any award or accolade that Cam receives is going to be scrutinized as to whether he should or shouldn't have received it. While other athletes will be given a much easier pass.

Rogers is having a monster year though. Gotta give the guy credit, I can see how :cam: would get voted for but he doesnt deserve this award
