I watched the first (Danish) movie when I first heard about all the Dragon Tattoo hype, but I guess I just don't get it. It was a decent movie, but I don't understand why so many people have fallen in love with this story. None of the characters or the story itself spoke to me in any way.

Read the book and thoroughly enjoyed the movie. Rooney Mara knocked it out of the park with her performance; incredible stuff. From what I've seen around the interwebs, there is definitely some support from the actors/actresses to make the other books at some point.

I've seen the original and it was quite good. Don't see any reason to bother watching a remake.

i went to see it on wednesday...it was awesome...i haven't read any of the books so i didn't really know what to expect...i just now finished watching the swedish version on netflix...i'm bout to watch the next two movies in the trilogy which are also on netflix
