Breaking Bad Season 5 (Here)

That dinner scene was absolute gold. Jesse's facial expressions and conversation starters were killer. "Hell yeah I'm stoked about this lasagna! Then you open it up and nuke it and the cheese gets this scab on it...so it's like you're eating a scab...and uhh..." Probably my favorite scene of the season so far.

So what is Walt's master plan to get Jesse and Mike their $5 million but still keep the meth? Briefly I thought he might offer to come on board with whatever the guys in Phoenix are doing, but Walt's whole objective now is to become the new Gus Fring and that move would make no sense.

Also, Walt splitting wires with his teeth and burning the poo out of his wrist...fug that. Ow.

^^Yeah that was mostly directed at PSC...though I would like to know if he still thinks Walt is doing this for Skylar and the kids.

I almost forgot about the Gray Matter thing, but that does seem to be the driving force for him. Seeing what his former partners had at the party earlier in the series, knowing what he could've had this whole time. Maybe that is what has drove him crazy and now that he has power in something he's never giving it up again.

yeah i used to like mike, but he's as good as dead. the intro scene was among the most powerful this show has ever had.

Dude that open was amazing. When they showed Walt taking the lid off of the final barrel right after Todd uncovered the kids hand... Walt was like the grim reaper standing there.

I have been re-watching a few episodes from S1. It's amazing to see Walt come up with any excuse not to kill someone who would kill his entire family and then watching him in this last intro casually disposing of a little kid. He's come a long way.

I have to admit that I was VERY late into rooting against Walt. I actually wanted to see him get away. But ever since he's had the opportunity to walk away a millionaire and continue to hold up his empire, I've have slowly turned against him.

And man as he nonchalantly flat out lied to Jesse about thinking of the little boy that died all night, was just gut wrenching. He has absolutely no remorse about anything anymore.

But that's why the dinner scene was so great. He set that whole thing up to show Jesse how shitty his life is now, with Skylar's affair, and her counting down the days till his cancer comes back.

Like he said this business is all he has to live for.

We just watched the episode last night (were gone on vacation) but after literally screaming "NO!" when the episode ended I turned to her and said that I don't think I have ever enjoyed a TV series this much. Surely not one as an adult.

Worst thing I see on TV each week....

    • His o loaded with swift, dj, Keenan and Rome was inconsistent at best. The d was bad. And the game management was atrocious and lost them games.  He was terrible and made the team worse. I wish they kept him
    • That is my point.  I think teams make a huge mistake when they pay their decent to average QBs top QB money because they feel that they have to match the market or lose their investment--There is no way, for example, that Tua or Prescott or Murray should all be making more than Mahomes--I mean, Dak makes $15m per season more than Mahomes. People say, "Well, when its his turn...." But that is not how it should be--so my point was that Bryce can be doing mediocre to good enough in 2 years, but the way it is going, you have to pay him at the starting QB rate--currently $60m.  So even if you think he will continue to improve, at $60 m, he would eliminate any chance for a ring---so my view is, if he is not elite, you cut him.  So you draft QBs now and see what you can make of them.
    • With two 4ths and three 5ths I’m hoping we can kill it on adding depth. Take a gamble with the two 7ths.  First 3 picks id love to address the defense. I expect Tuttle, Robinson, and Jewell to all be on the 2025 roster but not after that. Be a good time to add depth and let them develop a year.
