I'm not sure saying not much has changed but one guy is quite accurate. A lot of the same pieces are here but adding two legit threats at TE is a pretty big deal. Another year of maturity on LaFell has clearly helped him out too.

I would call the coaching change a huge difference. Even Clausen could move the ball some in the preseason and looked more competent.

Fan rule #1:

When the talking heads aren't sniffing your jock they're idiots - when they are they are paragons of accurate and unbiased information that must be taken as gospel.

That aside I agree that I wouldn't want to have to play this team with a year of experience, and offseason, and some injured players back. Barring an offseason meltdown it'll be scary for sure.

Actually Hoges is a "Tool" for ESPN. He reads his scripts like the other "Tools" on that network.

Anyway, rewind back to when this team played Greenbay, what did Rodger say? He said he was glad he played the Panthers' offense early in the season because he wouldn't want to play them when Cam and the offense figure each other out...And I'm para-phrasing. So, what Hoges said was already foreshadowed by those who actually played this offensive team.

Here's hoping those who played the Panthers and saw what this offense looked like in real-time is in for more of that and then some for many seasons to come.

Come on, Cam has been great, but so have our two tight end acquisitions and Chud has managed to put it all together in spectacular fashion (for the most part).

This is more than just the Cam Newton Show, though obviously he is critical to it all!

Many are giving The Golden Calf of Bristol all the praises and pretty much all the credit for Bronco's turn around despite the reality. Many are patting Dalton on his back for the Bengals' success despite the obvious fact that he's completely reliant on A.J. Green. But, you seem to have a hard time with some saying that Cam is the reason for the Panthers offense drastic turn around despite that fact that he is.

Could he have done is by himself? That question is an obvious NO. Has his presence, work ethics, and confidence rejuvenated the energy level of such vets as Smitty and Shockley? Yes. Does the team still have a long way to go to become a more balanced and effective team, especially in the winning department? Heck yes.

but like each year.....injury/bad luck/unexplainable changes.....the list of teams you have penciled in as the contenders never pan out accurate. See you didn't even include SF.....b/c no one thought about them prior to the start of the year and had Philly in the SB. Right now, you can go ahead and bet good money one of those teams will easily have a losing record next year. All it takes is as little as 1 injury.

you keep the coordinator and players the same.....and insert Jimmy Clausen. Carolina would have the 31st or 32nd ranked offense.
