Tyrus' injury is a mild left ankle sprain...prob won't play thursday out of precaution and should be okay for the start of the season.

my observations from the game:

- kemba didn't shoot it well but made big time plays down the stretch just like he did in college...he has supreme confidence in himself regardless of how he's been playing

- augustin looked rough...turnovers, missed 2 wide open threes...struggles to get to the rim and when he does he has trouble finishing

- tyrus thomas loves to shoot that mid-range jumper but that's about all he can do offensively...he really needs to work on some post moves

- boris was alright...knocked some three's down and made some nice plays around the basket...a decent night for him

- derrick brown cannot dribble a basketball but he is pretty good at put back dunks

- DJ white is gonna be a nice bench player for us

- henderson's jumper looked pretty solid...i wanna see him drive to the basket more

- overall, it was sloppy but it was the first preseason game and the bobcats didn't have maggette or biyombo

Yeah his midrange shot is great. It's that way for a few years. That elbow is his sweet spot.

Yeah he could use some help in the post but damn he got so skinny not sure how he's gonna body down low. He'll beat more people off the dribble and with his athleticism than backing someone down.

We need DJ to play well...the better he plays, his value goes up. I think we have a keeper in Kemba. As people said about Cam Newton, Kemba just has "it." Hes clutch, a winner, and might be one of the smallest guys on the court, but his game is ala Iverson IMO. Hes just a rook so dont laugh at me yet with that comparison.
