Ocho Cinco in Midnight Green?

I thought something sounded familiar, so I dug up a post from a few years back on the old Huddle pages.

Here's what it said:

I think a change of scenery would do wonders for T.O. and improve the Eagles team. I give T.O. the benefit of the doubt considering it can't be easy to play for one of the worst organizations in the league. I think T.O. would be welcomed with open arms in Philly (me included) and he would be treated like a king. I think for that reason, he would perform like a king also.

Wow. Amazing, huh?

(sorry JR; I couldn't resist) :boxing_smiley:

If anyone is overrated its his QB Carson Palmer.

You won't find many folks who agree with this statement.

I do.

I've watched Palmer a fair amount, and while his mechanics are good and he can throw a nice looking pass, he's got his issues. I'd classify him as a good quarterback, but he's regularly lumped in with guys like Manning and Brady when in reality he's not at that level, and I'd honestly say he's not even close.

And I would also call Chad Johnson overhyped, though in reality you can't put all of the blame for that on him. Yes, he can be an attention *****, but nobody's forcing ESPN and other outlets to feed into that. They just choose to do so.

I've always thought Palmer was missing something like the clutch factor or something. He's almost a Bledsoe type. Looks pretty throwing, technically sound, racks up yards, but something's missing.

I think that it is more of a lack of passion for the game of football.

Also it could be he has lost that while being in Cincy.

Hmm..that's a thought. But it seems to me that Palmer just has that laid back Cali thing going on as his personality, not sure if it means that he isn't into the game. I've heard him say some pretty fierce type things, about the Steelers for instance. lol
