They react to the product on the field. This will change when the Panthers get back to their winning ways.

It's just the way people are. You'll notice that for the most part super casual I-just-watch-it-for-background-noise fans (of any sport) don't do this. We identify with our favorite teams as a community and we use this sort of term when discussing them.

You might be a fan of the team...but are not actually part of the team. I guess we'd all like to feel as if we are though.

Maybe because some of us have had season tickets and have paid for the $7 dollar beers and hot dogs. They sure as sh1t are my team and I rep them to the grave.

The team also regionally represents us and I feel invested in their success. Fans are very much apart of the team. They may not have any influence in operations but fans are what make the NFL a big deal.

no fug that we are part of the team. without us, the fan, there is no panther football. some of us have been a part of this since 95; which is longer than any player can say.
