Official Panthers/Bucs Tailgate Thread

Unfortunately, this is the last home game of the season. The Bucs come to town for a 1pm game. The tailgating will start at 7am. This week's sponsor is MADCAT. Please thank him for his generosity in sponsoring this tailgate. This makes 7 years of fully sponsored tailgates.

The food this week comes from Salsaritas. (www.salsaritas.com) Please visit any of their stores for good, quick, fresh mexican dishes. They are bringing a burrito bar with all the sides.

The Huddle has been fortunate to have generous sponsors every game to provide free food and non-alcoholic drinks to everyone that shows up. In return the people that partake leave a donation that, because of the sponsors, 100% goes towards a year end bike donation to Toys for Tots. We’re talking upwards of $22,000 and 670 bikes to date have been donated to the Marine Corps Reserve during this time.

Here's the usual info:

Where: We are located at the intersection of 3rd st. and Poplar. We are located in a large parking lot that borders 3rd, Poplar, and Church st. congregating at 3rd and poplar right beside the lower entrance to the lot. Look for the carolinahuddle.com banners, tents, and loud music. The lot is across 3rd street from Picasso's restaurant and bar.

What: Food, music, drinks (non-alcoholic) and friendly Panthers fans. If you drink alcohol you have to bring it yourself.

When: We’ll start at 7am this week. Maybe earlier.

Who: Around 50 fans all somehow connected to this website.

How much: The parking lot is $25 to park there but you don’t have to park in the lot to tailgate with us. Many take the light rail for a few dollars and walk down or park a few blocks back for cheaper and just walk up.

When you show up and partake, please donate as much as you can to our cause. It’s a labor of love for us, but at the end of the day don’t discount what you saved by not bringing your grill, food, drinks, etc. and what it would cost you for a day of tailgating, shopping, and energy cooking. Remember 100% of your donation goes to charity. Hard to find many others that claim that nowadays.

Disclaimer: There will probably be loud music. The Huddle does not police adult behavior at tailgates so while kids have a blast at tailgates, we can’t be responsible for what they may see or hear during the time. Remember if you drink alcohol you’re responsible for bringing your own and keeping it cool.

I need a roll call. With it being Christmas Eve I didn't plan on coming down for this one and last week's was going to be my last tailgate of the year but I don't think I have anything better to do that day so who knows.

But srs, my mom wants to do some "family tailgate" but not go to the game with everyone. Most likely, I will be tailgating with them for a while then coming to teh huddlez with my cousin around 12...we are going to the game most likely.

He's a Giants fan and is desperate to see Cam Newton play and a home Panthers game. Gotta show him whatsup.

Seriously...the guy is a Giants fan yet is really desperate to see Cam and the Panthers play? Nothing against wanting to see him play because he is an exciting young lad on the field but desperate????

Yeah, it's probably a good thing I skip this one. I am not to fond of Giants fans in the first place and no way I could let him get away with that especially at noon when I am at full tilt. ;)

I mean not desperate, his mom (my aunt) and his sister...along with his dad, moved here about 7 years ago.

He lives in Manhattan but is down here A LOT, especially in the past year.

What can I say? We are an exciting team and everyone wants to see Cam play in person.

Yes, as a Giants fan, I think he would appreciate seeing a somewhat reliable quarterback and what they have to fear from here on out.

lol..come on Boo!!! I can't believe I am going to stick up for him and not wanting to turn this thread into a QB debate but...

I can't stand the sight of Eli but I won't dog him out for not being a very good QB. He is a Superbowl winning QB with near Brady like number this year with something like 6-7 come from behind victories this year by way of a ton of 4th qtr TD's. Sure he had a bad game this week but he has been stellar and could pass for over 5,000 yards. He has carried that team on his back all year.

Now excuse me while I go wash this filth off of me for saying all that.

I just think he's over rated.

Neither here nor there....my cousin wants to see a game, he asked if we could go sometime, I got tickets...and here we are. I'm sure he would do the same for me....not that I would ask to be put in a sea of obnoxious Giants fans.

I hope the Giants/Panthers game is during one of my school breaks. Chances are ill end up going to the Philly and DC game since they are the only two that are within 5 hours of driving from me

I'm in. I was hoping there would be a tailgate this week as I missed the last one and game.

How are tickets looking for this game? I don't have mine as I swapped them out for the extras for another game with the people behind me.
