Quick Tebow thread

lightsout

But...But...But...How come when the Panthers lose, everyone is looking for ways to put the blame on your QB's back. The endless ranting over his ints and whatever else they can blame him for is amazing.

You really have no clue what you are talking about

Still havent seen The Golden Calf of Bristol make a clutch "down the field pass" Broncos offense is such.

1. Run

2. Run

3. QB draw

4. Quick slant

Maybe he will get a long throw when a coverage on a WR is botched. But have you ever seen him thread the ball between defenders?

Also...My god!!! His throwing motion is awful. Seems it take him 3 seconds to get ball out of hand when throwing it deep. Just god awful throwing motion.

I believe the mania is over for now. Unless The Golden Calf of Bristol throws for 400 yards next week, I don't see the Broncos being hype up like they were the previous week. Skip embarrassed himself by having that big The Golden Calf of Bristol rally, only to have the Broncos get beat down by the Patriots. I'm not sure he or anyone else will embarrass themselves again until The Golden Calf of Bristol has a big game.

what part of "three yards and a cloud of dust cannot keep pace with a bona fide arsenal of passing formations and a great QB" are you not getting

Yeah it's true that keeping up with high powered offenses is going to be a problem for Denver. But you stated it was because of their read option/run game. That obviously wasn't the case this game. Denver ran the ball well and enough to win the game. You just not going to win many games with 3 turnovers regardless of the style of play.

You must not be watching First Take...

Anyway, funny that Kyle Orton helped the Chiefs hand the Packers their first lost while the Broncos were getting a beat down by the Pats.

I'm sure we won't be hearing how great of a QB Orton is.

That's because Cam wasn't responsible for many of the team loses. It seem many were quite happy to find something else he wasn't doing good enough to complain about.

The difference between Cam and Tim is, the receivers are already being blamed for Tim's not playing better. The receivers were fine when Tim was coming to work 5 minutes before the end of every game.

The Golden Calf of Bristol never blamed his receivers... hell he talks them up. They aren't exactly the best receivers though so I can understand why some people question them a bit.

As to Cam not being responsible, he wasn't, but neither was Tim for this one IMO. part of it, sure, but not the sole reason.

really there are a very limited number of people who are "endlessly ranting" about our QB, and one of them has just sworn never to return.

there are way more people who complain about the "endless ranting" than there are endless ranters.

I never said Tim blame his receivers. That's usually left up to the fans and others. Unlike Tom Brady, who chews out his receivers for not catching his bad balls while on camera, Tim is more likely to pat a receiver on his back and console them for missing one of his erratic balls.

And actually you're right, there isn't a lot of ranting about Cam. Just endless threads from fans wanting attention and knowing they can get it by making Cam or something he did or didn't do the center of their discussion

I only watched the first half but thought The Golden Calf of Bristol actually looked good this game. He started off hot and was hitting his receivers, although not with the greatest of spirals.

And I am not sure what you mean by this, Denver ran the ball effectively.

I agree. Denver lost because they turned the ball over and New England didn't. The second quarter was a disaster for them. The Golden Calf of Bristol was partially at fault because he had one of the turnovers, but other than that, he played ok.

Denvers offense isn't great, but they are not as bad as some folks make them out to be. The Golden Calf of Bristol has the potential to be as good as Jake Delhomme during our superbowl run, if they put some talented receivers around him like Jake had. He could be Jake with slightly less accuracy but better scrambling and running ability.
