Peppers and his dumbass agent screwed us and themselves if a trade is really what they wanted. Giving an ultimatum to a team like the Panthers (willing to play hardball) is not the way to get what you want. If Carey had been a legitimate agent instead of a douchebag luggage carrier then he would have known that. I hope we get a couple of picks out of him but at this point there has been so little mention of it I don't know if it will happen or not..I would also rather not trade next years 1st rounder for more picks this year because this years draft is one of the weaker drafts I have seen in a while.

same here...........

But I wonder if they are still thinking as if this could be their last year.(Fox and Hurney)

if they are then expect something bold.

imo...they very well could be in "win now" mode. in areas that it would/could take too long to get someone ready or possibly disrupt things too much, they opt to stay with who they have access to. regarding the draft and FA...when they have the resources they will do some bold things. as soon as the peppers situation is resolved one way or another, expect a good bit of movement. what i am happy about is they are wanting to be smarter with their money than what the redskins are. fortunately the limited money has forced/is forcing them to be smart.

i don't know what to expect in the draft. if they do make a bold move getting us back in the first without using peppers, you will know if they are focusing more on 2009 than down the road and fox/hurney are still on the hot seat.

Fox and Hurney are not on the hot seat. I really doubt you'll see anything bold. Except for the word, bold. Hurney and Fox aren't dumbasses. If you see anything, it's becuase they have their jobs for a reason and are fairly smart (above 90 IQ, I'm assuming)....

As for the "more than 5 picks' and how does that happen? Hey, let me just throw it out there, maybe it's good 'ole fashion misinformation!? WHAAAAT? noooo way.....

They say they have plan on having more picks, but from where? Could they be letting other teams know they aren't worried how the Peppers situation turns out because they may have a plan of action?

Who knows... I certainly don't. But that doesn't mean everything has to be thrown out of proportion because us little people have no idea what they do behind the curtains...
