But, if his leg is that strong, you would think that he would have kicked some fg's in college if he had any kind of accuracy at all. The more I think about it, the more I think that this signing had only one purpose, that being to shake Mare up a little bit.

I realize that. But to discount the possibility of Kunalic playing just because of his lack of kicking experience is crazy. Mare has all the experience in the world and look how that's turning out. It' how you perform on the field and that's all that matters. I wasn't expecting him to come in and start but I wouldn't have been surprised to see if he was selected with the way Mare was playing.

And it's not like we are counting on Mare to lead us to the playoffs this season. It be a perfect opportunity to try a young kicker.

Why sign him and not play him? Mare cant kick fg's anyway. Why not give the young guy some experience since we arent playing for much anyway.
