Why is everyone so down on Sullinger? He would have been a top 3 pick last year if he came out, and he is a big man with good size who can score (the hardest thing to find in the NBA). He might not have great athleticism, but the last time I checked neither do Kevin Love or Paul Millsap and they are doing quite well.

The only thing I would be concerned about is his injury history- seems like he is always getting banged up. But he would be a great fit on the Cats- he would give us a scoring option in the low post (and he shoots better than most of the starting lineup), plus he could play next to Bismack or Tyrus. And he could even fall to the 4th or 5th pick, so we could still get him if we trade back (or more likely, get shafted in the lottery)

Sullinger is another guy without a position. Listed at 6'9", most likely 6'8" in reality. Most 4's in the NBA are 6'10" +. And while he plays well back to the basket, he doesnt have the athleticism to make up for the height difference. He also isnt a stand out defender, making it even more difficult to guard bigs in the NBA.

Well, most PFs in the NBA also aren't as tall as their listed height either, everybody lies about their height at that level. There are plenty of successful PFs around Sullingers height- Blake Griffin (obviously a different level athletically), Kevin Love, Carlos Boozer, Zach Randolph, Luis Scola, Paul Millsap, Elton Brand, David West, David Lee, Carl Landry, Al Harrington, Brandon Bass.

Heck, Boris Diaw is 6'8 and fat yet that hasnt stopped him from playing long stretches at center for the bobcats. I'm not even sure the cats have ever played a PF over 6'8, though that may be going against the point I'm trying to make.

I just think that in a leauge where a chubby 6'8 white guy (Kevin Love's height at the draft combine) who plays below the rim can average 25 pts 14 rbs a night, then its a little premature to make assumptions about Sullinger.
