Newton backed up The Golden Calf of Bristol and ended up leaving for two reasons. Legal trouble and lack of playing time.

Bottom line: Denver has the 31st worst receiving corps in the league and we have one of the best. And whether you want to acknowledge it or not, that does kind of tend to have an impact on your yards, completion percentage and TD's as a quarterback.

Throwing an interception on the other hand, knowing when to throw it away and take a sack, or not, has little to do with your receivers. Those things say more about the quarterback.

So if you wanna judge QB's you should start looking at information that's got more to do with them, and not "the help". Or else how would The Golden Calf of Bristol's numbers look with 1500 yards after catch tacked on to his stats?

Bottom line, the NFL's already designed a rating that takes this fact into consideration. It's called QB rating. It does reward QB's not just on stats that have a lot to do with their receivers like completion percentage, yards and TD's but also on things that have more to say about THEM.

But to answer your question, I haven't watched The Golden Calf of Bristol play every game, because they don't televise it her very often. I'm usually stuck watching some game I don't care about. But I did catch some high-lights, and what I did notice, is that The Golden Calf of Bristol throws accurately a lot of times, and his receivers are terrible. I've seen his receivers drop some pretty great passes.

Which is a far cry from what's going on with the Panthers, where I've seen some terrible passes turned into gold because of Steve Smith. The Golden Calf of Bristol doesn't get this benefit. And Cam Newton is getting 1500 yards worth of benefit.

I'm a Carolina fan, but I'm not stupid. Denver has a better coach (Fox) and game manager (The Golden Calf of Bristol). Carolina has an unproven coach who shows no emotion (Rivera) and what will be one of the greatest QBs to play the game once he learns to manage it (Newton).

I'd take Fox of Rivera and Newton over The Golden Calf of Bristol, but I don't discredit what The Golden Calf of Bristol is doing in Denver. I don't know why anyone else is either.

No. The Golden Calf of Bristol does not compare to Newton , nor Brady, Rothlisberger, nor Rodgers...Nobody compares to our guy and I am proud to be a Bronco fan. While most are trembling about Brady, I am confident if our coaches let The Golden Calf of Bristol be The Golden Calf of Bristol, we will come out victorious. Because Brady can't beat our team. With The Golden Calf of Bristol's leadership, our team has become unstoppable and everyone deserves credit. It could not have been done without clutch performances at times by the whole team. This thread was a good and sometimes funny read. Cam is a far better NFL QB. I could give a sh*t about what either of them did in college at this point. Let Denver play the NFC South and see how they do. If they had to play against the Saints and Falcons offense twice a year no way does Tim or that defense do enough to make it even close. Denver's best competition this year is the Raiders. Enough said. Tim has done a great job and I really respect the guy but he is in no way even close to being as good an NFL QB as Cam. How many points per game does Denver average? I am sure it is no where close to Carolina's. We score more than enough to win. If our defense was half as good as Denver's we would easily only have 2 or 3 losses. Most of our losses have nothing to do with Cam. Even with him throwing as many picks as he has.

Fox has been a NFL coach for a decade.....Rivera a couple weeks withoutu an NFL offseason. That is like asking who is a better QB between Romo and Dalton. Can't compare them.

The The Golden Calf of Bristol vs. Cam stuff reminds me of Panthers fans taunting Saints fans over Jake's "wins" vs. Brees' "losses". Like seriously it was the exact same poo: on this side you had the gritty game manager who didn't put up gorgeous stats but gosh darnit he was a leader and if you were down two scores in the fourth then you could count on a win and blah blah blah. In the other corner you had pretty boy Brees who had the stats but not the wins and he was a choker who only cared about chasing Marino's single season record and he just didn't have that mysterious "it" that elevates quarterbacks and motivates teammates yadda yadda.

Oh yeah and let's not forget how Jake/Fox were winners and Brees/Payton weren't.
