So in your fake scenario, someone who has 44% the sample size is the same as someone who has less than 1% the sample size of another player?

I just want to make sure I understand your logic.

You think stats with 44% of a larger sample size has the same validity as stats with less than 1% the sample size?

It's the same concept.... drawing any conclusion from a comparison of drastically different sample sizes is ridiculous.

It's the kind of thing that only someone with an agenda tries to do.

200 to 450 isn't drastically different in many people's eyes.

1-115 is.

I guess it just depends on your definition though. I can see both ways. I did an analysis a few days ago extrapolating Tim's numbers but what I looked for was how much he would have to fall off in the remaining attempts to equal Cam's numbers and he'd have to play worse than Jimmy Clausen bad.

So you can discredit the sample size all you want but it's nearly impossible for him to come in at or below Cam's numbers given an equal sample size.

Get back to me with a comparison like that when The Golden Calf of Bristol reaches 452 passing attempts (in about 3 years) and we'll line them up side-by-side.

By then you'll be saying Cam has 1200 so it's invalid and blah blah blah.

We can do an analysis of Cam's first 200 attempts if you want?

Here comes the IR excuses......I guess that you are the only team with injuries......Question though...How was your D before all the injuries crippled your team??

Have to guess since the key injuries were preseason but going by last season, decent.

03 is Marine for 11B (INF) right?

So The Golden Calf of Bristol is being asked to do the same stuff in that offense that Cam is being asked to do in this offense?

Forget Cam, measure Peyton Manning's first 200 attempts against The Golden Calf of Bristol.... so The Golden Calf of Bristol extrapolates to be better then Manning as well?

Peyton's rookie season:

TD% 4.5, INT% 4.9

The Golden Calf of Bristol this year:

TD% 5.7, INT% 1.8

So I guess The Golden Calf of Bristol ends up being the greatest NFL QB of all time.

If that's what you measure QB greatness on and those ratios hold, sure.

Most rational people simply look at those numbers and form the opinion that he's not as bad as Cam fans want him to be and use those numbers to say that he's playing very efficiently and is helping his team more than he is hurting them.

I'll just leave this here.

The Golden Calf of Bristol has 11 TD passing to 2 INTs. I'll give him the 2 INTs, but that's more on the coordinator playing smart football. His longest TD is 56 yds. The Golden Calf of Bristol has 3 rushing TDs. He also has an abysmal 48% completion rate. ESPN sees the 11-2 TD ratio, the 7-1 record, and the comebacks and think John Fox is reponsible and coach of the year and that The Golden Calf of Bristol is the best thing ever.

The Golden Calf of Bristol's wins have come against an overrated Chargers team, the Dolphins, Raiders, Chiefs, Jets, Vikings, and a Bears team with no QB. The one legitimate defense Teblow faced, was Detroit, and they got destroyed 45-10. They have the Patriots who have a worse D then us, the Bills and Chiefs left. They'll probably beat the Patriots and since ESPN is so in love with the Patriots, they'll start hyping Super Bowl. But when it comes to legit, championship contenders, Denver can't hang. It just makes me more mad that Fox is getting credit for this when we all know he's done nothing to contribute. Even more so, Teblow was the number 3 QB on the chart in camp. It's a fad against inferior opponents. The Donkeys basically played the same schedule this year except we're not in the afc west. if divisions were swapped, i could easily see us 8-5 and them 4-9.

That ought to be enough for you TRD to back off a little bit on your theory.
