Bronco fans mad at Smittys comments...

No. Again, there aren't many players that qualify as HUGE parts in football. Mainly small parts. The Golden Calf of Bristol was a HUGE apart of the 2nd NC. He was not a HUGE part of the 2006 one. He was a part....a part they could of worked around if he was hurt.

Yes, Smitty is a HUGE part.....b/c unlike The Golden Calf of Bristol in his first NC....there are no pieces you can put togehter to even come close to making up for what he brings to the offense.

All kinds of opinions and no facts in here, nothing even rooted in fact.

Fact:

1. something that actually exists; reality; truth:

2. something known to exist or to have happened:

Explain to me how the bolded is fact. You are really struggling here.

I don't love The Golden Calf of Bristol and I don't not like Newton. They aren't mutually exclusive. The Golden Calf of Bristol is doing great things and deserves recognition.

Game recognize game.

i will tell you why for the first bolded one. Leak did NOT fit Meyer's system, so he would've put Newton in for those runs and had designed runs, watch Meyer's last year at Florida with Brantley. when he needed one yard runs, he put in Trey Burton or Jordan Reed, i am sure he would've done that for Newton too if he was backing up Leak, but he backed up The Golden Calf of Bristol who was the PERFECT fit for his spread option runs.

As for the 2nd thing, The Golden Calf of Bristol has been helped by a good defense which has good DTs. if The Golden Calf of Bristol were here, he would have to score at least 30 points to win games and i dont think he can do that here.

Prove it.

Facts are provable. Prove it.

I could just as easily say that Newton would not have gotten the carries because he in fact didn't and The Golden Calf of Bristol would not have to score 30 a game because he would chew more clock with his running ability, he's more efficient in the passing game, and even if he had to, he has shown the ability to score upwards of 30 points in games with a far inferior supporting cast in Denver so I think he could do even more in Carolina in a better offense with better weapons.

how is he more effiecent??? have you seen his short throws and how he misses EASY throws???? you think that The Golden Calf of Bristol would actually help this defense??? no, i disagree, with The Golden Calf of Bristol, we would have less interceptions agree, but we would have less TDs and the same amount of TDs given up. The Golden Calf of Bristol would have more weapons in Carolina, BUT it wont help if he cant hit a simple throw to Steve Smith. i have seen that vs. the Jets. The Golden Calf of Bristol missed a wide open Eddie Royal and no one was around him. that's an issue that The Golden Calf of Bristol has at times.

Cam Newton misses plenty of easy throws as well.

To answer how he's more efficient, he throws a TD pass every 18 throws. Cam throws a TD every 30 throws. That is more efficient. Fact.

Based on facts we would have less interceptions and if you inserted The Golden Calf of Bristol into this offense, we would have more TDs as well based on number of attempts. You would have to believe that with less interceptions, the defense would give up less touchdowns. In the ATL game, Cam throws a pick and 3 or 4 plays later, TD Atl. No turnover, no TD.

Again, Cam misses simple throws all the time. The pick he threw this past week was nearly 10 ft over the receivers head. That is an issue Cam has at times.

None of this is my opinion. I believe Cam is the better QB, I just can't prove it because all evidence points to The Golden Calf of Bristol.

Drastically different sample size... so you really can't use those stats to prove anything.

It's like saying Goodson is a better HB then Stewart because he has one run of 20 yards, so his YPC is 20 vs. Stewart at 4.7.

No, those are not the same.

No, they are... same concept.

The Golden Calf of Bristol has 198 passing attempts, Cam has 452... The Golden Calf of Bristol is managing to average just enough passing attempts per game to even have a passer rating. According to the NFL you have to average 14 attempts per game and The Golden Calf of Bristol is averaging 18.

Leading Rushers:

Whynn: 143 att 721 yards 4.9 avg 6 TD

The Golden Calf of Bristol: 89 att 478 yards 5.4 avg 8 TD

Yeah, he wasn't that important at all. The only people who contributed more per game Leak (210ypg), Dallas Baker(66ypg), and Percy Harvin(66ypg) compared to Tebows 60ypg

In 2008, Cam contributed 2 yards per game!!!!!!!!!!

LOL. Don't confuse these people with facts!

So in your fake scenario, someone who has 44% the sample size is the same as someone who has less than 1% the sample size of another player?

I just want to make sure I understand your logic.

You think stats with 44% of a larger sample size has the same validity as stats with less than 1% the sample size?
