Defense isn't what's helping them win, unless you missed Tebowmania and living under a rock. The Golden Calf of Bristol's in the news every week because of 4th quarter come backs.

The only way to get one is if your defense GIVES UP the lead in the first place. Teams with great defenses, don't have a lot of 4th quarter comebacks. They have blow-outs or keep the lead throughout the game.

Thats an odd way of looking at it.

Great defenses keep the other team from scoring much. And occassionally, they score themselves. A great defense can't control what their own offense does. With the exception of the Minnesota game, Denver has won because their defense kept them in the game until their offense finally did something.

Denver is in some ways similar to Carolina in 2002. Except that our defense in 02 was better in the beginning of the season, and our offense didn't have much of a run game. And didn't have much in the way of 4th qtr heroics.

The Golden Calf of Bristol - 39% completion percentage 1-3 quarters in the NFL. Yeah, that is efficient. Efficient just like there 3rd down conversion rate.

Both those 2 stats pretty much pee pee on the thought he is a game manager. He is a bad QB.....one who has made a couple freak plays as opponents have flat out the game. Denver is clearly playing not to lose football and have a bad QB. What you are seeing is exactly why Fox believes in playing not to lose......b/c again, more games are lost than won.

I work with a woman who is a The Golden Calf of Bristol slurper. I can't even have this conversation with her anymore, because it's so frustrating. I feel like these "The Golden Calf of Bristol fans" know little or nothing about football. Either that, or they've not been watching Denver's games lately. The defense gets 75% of the credit. In Charlotte, the defense gets 75% of the blame for our losses.

First off much respect to you for defending our country.

Are U guys serious......You really think that Cam is a better QB than The Golden Calf of Bristol? Yes, even John Elway doesn't think The Golden Calf of Bristol is the Answer.

On what grounds cause his Offenses is more stat friendly. No because his offense actually completes passes in all 4 quarters of a football game.

But I will say that winning is ALL that matters and in that since Cam has won 4 of 13 games, while TT has won 7 of 8. Sure Cam has ok stats. Cam doesn't have stats, Cam sets records. But TT is in a totally different O, (Yes, a school yard offense) and when asked to throw the ball has done so with better success than Cam without the mountain of turnovers. You have got to be fuggin kidding me. This guy was 3-16 for 45 yards through the first 3 quarters of the game. Both times beating rookie and backup quarterbacks. See the Minn game, see Chicago. He has led his team back over and over. He has to to lead his team from behind because he doesn't show up until the 4th quarter. He inspires forces players to want have to play harder.

Keep going on patting yourselves on the back about how great Cam is (True) and how TT sucks (Also true)...Yet your team has about as much national interest as womans ice dancing, (False) Cam Newton has people standing in line for Panthers news like they are outside an Apple store. and we are constantly the national game, people (Republicans, Teabaggers, and the Christian Right) actually want to see us play, oh and did I mention that we are going to win our division, (You may because your division sucks) and get a home playoff game.....When cam can make the playoffs give us a call.....Until then assume your place behind Andy Dalton....You know him the one that is going to win the OROY (Not gonna happen, also a game manager)

Now I'm not sure if you have suffered some brain trauma while fighting in combat overseas, but if you need help the people at the VA, have put out a recent series of commercials to remind us all that our Combat vets may be suffering from PTSD. There are people that want to and can help you.:D

When the battle is trying to get everyone to agree with you, you will fail regardless if you were right or wrong.

You are under the wrong assumption I am primarily trying to get everyone to agree with me. That's probably third on my list. If that was my primary goal, I probably would go about things a lot different. I tend to be on the opposing side of the majority almost all of the time, and by the time people start coming around to something I said 3 months ago, I'm usually talking about something else. If I cared about support I would be looking into becoming a politician.

I get bored with talking about things that are obvious. Once they become obvious I move on to the next thing most people don't think about. It would be nice to get credit every once in awhile, but I think I bruise far too many egos for that. And I'd be lying if I said I don't get a kick out of this sometimes.

But no, I just wanna know I'm right mostly for me. I do it for myself. Not for you or anyone else. It's important to me personally I stay on top of things and I stay honest. If I didn't and found myself ever agreeing with everyone else, it probably means I've gotten lazy, closed minded, and need to pick things back up.

That's just something I enjoy doing and it's how I choose to live. Some people catch on, others don't. I help as much as I can.

uh i can NOT agree here. Champ Bailey is a top notch cover corner who can line up man to man on a WR, Gamble isnt awful, but he has been burnt alot, i would take Champ over Gamble still, maybe if Gamble becomes a lockdown, shutdown corner, than i could agree.

more than you think, just read this thread and other threads and people wont stop bringing up how The Golden Calf of Bristol wins and what's sad is i LOVE The Golden Calf of Bristol and think he's great for the game, but as a passer, he's woefully inaccurate until the final minutes of halves.

i dont mind that, women will always have their celebrity crush and it's not like they will meet him and go out with him one day.

add in people who think that bayless knows what he's talking about.

Honestly, when it comes to The Golden Calf of Bristol, i think he DOES know what he's talking about, i dont think they should switch to a hurry up offense, BUT i do think they should switch The Golden Calf of Bristol to a shotgun based offense to help fit his skills, plus Bayless NEVER said he would take The Golden Calf of Bristol over Newton.
