For what it's worth, Frank Garcia thinks that Kalil might be a bit undersized for NFL left tackle and that he will probably end up as a guard.

i don't see that, but speaking of guards that decastro OG from stanford has been getting a lot of hype lately.

i'd rather we not address RG in the first few rounds (or at all in the draft actually), but if we could somehow sneak out kalil and decastro in the draft that left side of the line will be awesome in a couple years.

No rookie cornerback is going to immediately solve our problem at cb. Maybe after he has played a year or two. But Kalil might be able to come in and contribute immediately.

why do we need to solve all our problems immediately? we are years away from competing at the level we want to be at. right now we are so devoid of talent we should be picking guys based on how good we think they will be a few years from now, not how good they are on day 1.

Agree. Cam and Co are plenty capable of putting up the points to win now... if we have a defense that can stop people even a little, we can be a playoff team easily.

I agree. I may be out in right field, but I expect us to at least contend for a playoff spot next season.
