I can't believe that this guy hasn't been described yet though... You know the one, it's the pathological liar type. The guy that has a story for everything, the guy that's been everywhere... The guy that knows everything, but in "the real world" knows absolutely fuggin nothing. He's the guy that gets caught in lie after lie, and yet continues to perpetuate his utter nonsense on the rest of us every single day. This is the guy that everyone laughs about when he's not around, and most of the time you laugh in his face and ^He has no idea that you're just egging him on to further laugh about it later.

You know this guy, because there's Always One in every office.

The ones who think just because they call me by my first name we are equal. Bitch I'm a director who answers to the CEO and God. I'm your boss, not your buddy.

People who bring their religion to work.

People who think fancy squiggly fonts, uplifting sayings, and colors make for a professional signature block in their email.

People who don't know how to type www.google.com and ask their question there before they call my department to ask how to save their power point to a PDF.

Oh yeah that's one right there. People that think they're better than you because they hold a position of power in the company - like a director thinking he only answers to the CEO (who already thinks he's god) and God himself.

Everyone else i can tune out for the most part. Even the really annoying people.

I don't work in an office setting (I'm pretty sure that's not too common among college students) but I do work at a 4 star Italian restaurant during the summers and winter breaks. There's this one waiter who is so nosy that it annoys the poo out of everyone there. He's always trying to get into everyone's personal lives for unknown reasons. He's 18 and was already married until his wife beat him up for watching porn; now he's getting divorced. At 18!!! He doesn't know the menu and always screws up orders, but the owner feels too sorry for him to fire him.

I was the one in the office everyone hated!

I worked for a Temp service for 13 months as a temp. LOL

I was the one in the office most people hated to deal with. (The people trying to get temp jobs.) I'm sure they were happy when the company let me go. (So was I!)

One applicant called me a a-hole (and a several times a b-hole) because I used words like "inundated" & "plethora" in a sentence once. Axed me if I was speakin' foreign, usin' dem words like dat. ( I assured her I wasn't, but if she spoke French or German, I'd happy to speak to her either of those languages.) She axed me if it made me feel like a big shot usin' words that no one knew what dey mint? :D

Another applicant got mad at me because I snickered when she asked if her 6 pages of felonies and misdemeanors would keep her from filling a certain position. She did bring a print out of all of them to attach to her application. (I did apologize to her and made a copy of her pages to stapled it to the application.) To her credit. Most of her convictions were for soliciting and a few assults. (Maybe she got into scuffles with johns or other hookers?)

So many of the people in my division work from home now, that I rarely see any of them. I get more privacy in the office now than at home. That and the gym are the best reasons to drive in to the office.

I work with a bunch on NC State engineers, I graduated from UNC, for the most part they are good dudes. But I hate that they get more joy out of the Tarheels losing than their own team winning. I tell them it must be easy to be a State fan, because you get to pull for every team that plays Carolina and it doesn't matter if State wins or loses.
