I understand the frustration, but realistically, what is there to report?

The team's in bunker mode, as they should be. It's not like the Panthers are dumb enough to let their draft plans be made known. Sure we'd like to know. So would the GMs of the other 31 teams.

Peppers agent (thankfully) took the hint and shut up. Nobody else has been re-signed or restructured. Pretty much all the stuff we're seeing from other sources has been pure speculation, and a lot of that uninformed and/or worthless.

Sure, they could do puff pieces, but they've done that before and the reaction has been "What's with this crap? Give me some real news!"

But that's the problem. There isn't any real news.

Once there is, I'm sure we'll hear of it (and discuss it ad nauseum).

Mr. Scott,

How have ya been? Havent seen ya around in a while.

I know what your saying, but they need to think about the audience. We are football fans yes, but we are also fans of the players.

ANd during the slow offseason reporters can get some inside reports about their everyday lives and who they really are. iTS time to think outside the box. Get the stuff that you cant get during the busy season when they dont have time to sit down and just talk.

Fans dont need football news about our team, players.

Reporters need to think outside the box, thats what seperates the good ones from the average ones.

(like the average ones dont realize this is the time to capitalize, if you are bringing Panther news and no one else is, where will everyone be; reading your stuff. - basic marketing"

I'm one who would actually like to see some of that sort of thing. I enjoy personal stories, sneak peeks and such.

Realistically though, if they did that you'd have a bunch of fans scan the whole thing for some tidbit of hard news, and then knock the writer for "fluff" when they didn't find anything. Happens every offseason.

They write puff pieces. They get criticized for writing fluff.

The write no puff pieces. They get criticized for being lazy.

You just can't please everybody.

    • I think a lot of wrs are going to go in the second round before we pick.  There are a lot of wr needy teams.  I think there will be a big run on them in the late 30s and 40s.
    • Interesting that they met with Walker three times and Cam Jackson twice.
