Steve Smith takes Cam over Tebow anyday.

I still can't believe you guys/gals let one snide comment from Trd get you riled up.

He knows just what to say to get you folks going.

Even if you make the most perfect, reason argument. Do you really think it is going to change his mind.

<---- not riled up.

Just giving my opinion, that's all. Isn't that what this place is for?

I can't imagine any rational person would take The Golden Calf of Bristol over Newton. The Golden Calf of Bristol functions well in the offense that they designed for him, and he doesn't turn it over much. Cam is more talented by far though.

To be fair, even if The Golden Calf of Bristol were on the same level as Newton, I have a hard time believing Smith would say any different.

Yet ESPN throws pooty sh*t like this on their website. Give me a fugging break. Comparing The Golden Calf of Bristol and Cam is one thing, but WTF.

Cam is a rookie....And why is it okay to compare Tim to Cam and not someone more his equal like Sam Bradford or Blaine Gabbert?

Anyway, Tim was miked in Sunday's game and was heard stating that the defensive guy who intercepted his ball was lucky. I guess Tim feels if Tom Brady beats him this Sunday he will be lucky also..

God, I love The Golden Calf of Bristol.

Yeah, but why even respond?

It may enlighten some, but you know he just makes comments that he doesn't believe.

Trd = Huddle's Skip bayless

I will paypal a mod $1 if they change TRD's name to Skip Bayless

I honestly dont see how anyone right now can say they would rather have The Golden Calf of Bristol for the next 5 years rather than cam.

Im not talking about all the stats since honestly there isnt enough data on either qb to draw any conclusions for that. Just watching the two of them in games.

The Golden Calf of Bristol is hell of a lot of fun to watch at the end of games and i alsays check out the broncos after i wat h the panthers because its entertaining as all hell.

When i watch The Golden Calf of Bristol i see someone who throws likd an 8 year old girl with her offhand. If his team doesnt pull out magic stops every week they would lose.

Cam even with all the rookie mistakes and ints looks to me to have every bit of upside we could hope for. He gets little to no help from the d or st and has to be perfect to win.

Yeah, but isn't there always time for a good debate?

I don't want to change his mind, I know that's not happening. Its a good argument. We both have (somewhat) valid points.

Before the Huddle went absolutely apeshit this year, you used to be able to come on here and have legit debates without everyone getting all riled up and at each other's throats. Idk why we have some much internal turmoil this year.

COME ON PEOPLE. Its the Christmas season!

Actually this is where you fail to realize that Skip is nothing more than a tool for ESPN and TRD is a bitter man who didn't get what he wanted.

Last week it was Skip was the one defending Cam, supposed "my level" comment while the other talking head was talking about how much what Cam said can affect the fragile egos of his team payers. So, let's just chalk up anything Skip says to simply him knowing who signs his checks..;)

The Golden Calf of Bristol is putting one TD on the board, maybe 2. Cam is personally contributing to scoring 40 and 50 points and staying in the game. He himself is staying in the game, not his Defense. To me, that seems like Cam will only develop from there and continue to put up 300-400 yard games while The Golden Calf of Bristol struggles to score a last minute TD b/c "God favors him over other players". The only reason the Broncos are still in the game by the 4th quarter (which must be a god awful no pun intended boring game btw), is because their defense is keeping the team from scoring points. That is the only way The Golden Calf of Bristol has the ability to score late in the game.

Cam has yet to put up 40, never come close to 50, and has only scored 30 three times. The Golden Calf of Bristol has put up 30 twice in 8 starts. 2/8 is better than 3/13, no? Those stats show me that The Golden Calf of Bristol is in a more conservative offense that has the capability to put up big numbers. It shows me Cam is in an offense that is going to usually put up big numbers.

My opinion is Cam is ahead of The Golden Calf of Bristol right now, which doesn't effect their development rates though. It tells me that since The Golden Calf of Bristol has a better defense, he needs to do less and therefor his development is not as crucial to their success as Cam's is. Cam MUST make huge strides in development because we know we cannot win where he's at now, defense is too bad. He needs to carry the team and score on every possession.

For the two players each getting to where they need to be considering the teams they are on for them to win a Superbowl, The Golden Calf of Bristol has less to go.

You don't get down 27 at the half without your offense struggling as well so I'd say you're pretty fuged in this game and should just wait for next season.

More passes does not necessarily mean more interceptions. He throws an absurd number of passes per interception (99 passes/Int) so even if that number slips a little bit, he'll be nowhere near where Cam is (28 passes/Int).
