Steve Smith takes Cam over Tebow anyday.

Good logic except Jake can win a comeback and you're wrong about Moore this year:

Matt Moore, QB MIA 263 162 61.6 1,864 7.09 46 10 6 28 86.1

Cam's better than Moore in two cagetories. Points and the one where the team gives him 1500 yards after catch. Overall Moore's a better passer. Moore's got the same interception per pass efficiency as Tom Brady this year.

And it's never a bad idea to check their scoring efficiency either. Lots of yards help your QB rating, but as we know now, without the scores they hurt it. It just means you traveled down the field 80 yards only to turn over the ball in some way.

Once again The Golden Calf of Bristol wins. He scores more TD's per yard and has a 1 per 99 interception efficiency ratio.

I was talking about Moore and Jake over the courses of their career. Not a small 5 or 6 game window.

And as usual you don't exactly have your facts in order which is becoming a constant theme with you.

If you are talking about offensive yards and actual offensive points Denver is at 17.7 yards per point for the season.

Since The Golden Calf of Bristol have taken over their offensive yards to actual offensive scores is actually 18.2 YPP so it has actually been worse than when Orton was QB.

The Panthers are at 17.1 without their one non-offensive TD.

But even if you counted the defensive and special teams touchdowns that have inflated the Broncos overall OYPP their actual OYPP since The Golden Calf of Bristol has taken over would be..... 15.8 YPP. Nearly the same as the Panthers.

So in reality, and factually our actual offense has scored more per yard than The Golden Calf of Bristol and the Broncos and our respective teams score nearly an equal amount of points per yard if you allow their non-offensive TDs (or normal OYPP).

So... what else do you got??

Why do you keep saying Teeray/myself/others think "the only thing that matters is yards vs a defense?" Nobody, NOBODY has said yards are the most important stat about our offense, and in fact, the two people you argue with most about this (both Teeray and myself) talk about stats like points per drive, punts per drive, etc to evaluate offense and defense - not yards. You are making a strawman because you keep bringing up yards but virtually no-one disputes that yards have very limited use alone as any kind of measuring stick of an offense or defense.

No, we get to keep the fuging ball after that happens.

That's why teams like the Lions and Atlanta only have to move 30 yards for a TD. But no...that's irrelevant....our defense should have stopped them! No NFL defense really does...but if ours doesn't, they suck.

Actually again it is false that " No NFL defense really does...but if ours doesn't, they suck"

Not only do normal NFL defenses get stops when the other team gets the ball at the 30... it actually happens more often than not. Here is a graph from Advanced NFL Statistics about where teams get the ball and how often it correlates to TDs and FGs.

Actually if you look at the graph the likelihood of teams scoring a TD when they get the ball at the 30 yards line is just under 40%. The normal teams only get a TD around 39% of the time when they get the ball at the 30 yards line and that number predictably goes down was the other team gets further away from the goal line with their starting field position.

So as this chart shows, not only do NFL defenses in fact stop teams from scoring TDs when the other team gets the ball on the 30 yard line, it actually should happen more often than not.

... Wow...

Ok. 3 & out isn't a turnover on downs. A team has the option to try to get the first or punt/go for a FG, fake a ST play, whatever. A turnover on downs means the team tried to go for it on 4th & didn't make it.

Well he didn't know what a turnover on downs was he might not know what a straw man is...

I look forward to coming back tomorrow to hear Teeray argue and spin poo and proclaim that Cam has proven he's better than Jake Delhomme...because he can't accept The Golden Calf of Bristol's currently a more efficient passer who throws no interceptions, gets 4th quarter comebacks and it shows up in their Wins and Losses. Tomorrow Cam will be better than Marino.

Pssst, The Golden Calf of Bristol threw an interception.

The Golden Calf of Bristol has attempted 198 passes, Cam has attempted 452, so it's fair to compare their body of work right?

Jimmy had a higher QB rating than Brees in one game last season. No one who watched the game thinks Jimmy played better. Saying someone is better than another based on QB rating is absolute crap.

The same should be obvious about The Golden Calf of Bristol and Cam...

Cam has big numbers but so did Kyle Orton.. neither of them could win a game to save their lives...
