Houston Tailgating

I hate to drag actual facts into this but...

http://www.bizjournals.com/atlanta/news/2011/10/05/harris-poll-falcons-15th-most-popular.html

I mean, the Panthers are more popular than the Texans.

Well they should be since they have been around a lot longer than we have. We kind of like flying under the radar. The NFL didn't want to put the team here anyway so they do things to remind us like keeping us off of MNF and prime time in favor of the Rams @ Seahawks...lol. Its ok though...they won't have a choice but to put us in prime time next season. It will take us 100 years to gain the popularity that the cowboys have in Texas alone but we don't worry about the cowboys until we play them every 4 years. Texas is big enough for Texans and Cowboys.

Hey Poptarts

Most likely the roof will be closed,if there is any chance of rain(20%) at all they keep it closed.

I wouldnt worry about the fans at Reliant. As a matter of fact if you show up to tailgate I promise you you'll be treated well.

The Saints fan thing kinda surprises me. They have been very nice to the Houston fans.Maybe it's because half of them(the bad half) moved here after Katrina, and they feel guilty.:D

As far as being an A-hole goes, you wont find me starting anything.

I think the thing that really gets that kind of stuff started is one side not knowing enough about the other and making statements that are inaccurate.

Then the other side feels the need to correct ...and then it's on.

I wont be saying much about the quality of the Panthers because frankly I dont know enough about you guys to make an educated opinion.

Now if this were the Titans or the Jags or anyone in our division I'd have plenty to say.

I'll have to watch some Panthers football on NFL rewind to get a better feel.

Have fun at the game.

If the temp is between 50 and 80 degrees and not raining or no threat of rain the roof will be opened. They may keep it closed regardless for the noise factor. (homefield advantage lol)

You do realize you said "nation wide" in your post right?

Also, you need to be committed if you think The Cowboys don't own Texas.

The Cowboys are the most popular team in the world but not in their own state? You think one season of the Texans finally making the playoffs is going to change that?

Oh, now we are talking value? New subject? Sure. The Texans are actually the 6th most valuable team according to Forbes and the Panthers are 15th.

Good lord man. Don't just start making stuff up.

I hate the Cowboys. It is just the Texans have not had anything to really brag about.I say let them have there day on stage though losing 2 qbs and the best wr in the league is going to be hard to overcome

As of now we have a twenty percent chance of rain. I'd be willing to bet the roof will be closed.

On top of that we have a hundred percent chance of a louder stadium with it closed. So yeah it'll be closed....:D

Thanks Jarhead

I think we all hate the Dullass Cowgirls. I still find it hard to believe that they are "Americas Team" when everyone I talk to hates them. And I'm not talking about just Houstonians,I mean everyone.

I think most of it comes from the media to tell you the truth.

AJ will be back for the POs and I think TJ will be fine. Of course I'm judging TJ by his last two games so who knows?

I guess we'll know more by the end of the season.
