Ron Meeks a good fit.

I'm curious, and this is to anyone and in all situations (not just meeks, but the draft, peppers, salary cap), how can anyone sour on something they've never seen or have no info on?

Nothing has changed, except people's opinions. We brought in a better D coordinator, yet we'll be worse. Same offense, yet we have no 3-5 receivers. Same expectations during the offseason, yet reporters aren't doing their job and the FO isn't leaking info. We had 10 mil in cap room at the start of the offseason, yet we have no room even after Gross resigned and we cleared space.

Also Lewis should benefit with Meeks because he is a Quick DT like Warren Sapp was and he should be used right this year unlike he was last year. Also if he can use our LBs in Davis and Beason right the sky is the limit to what they could do.

Johnson really is not all that small at 275. He is only 5 pounds lighter then Peppers and is 7 pounds more then Freeney and 17 pounds more then Mathis. Meeks will be working with more of a 4-3 end then a cover 2 end. Also if Lewis is used right this year he will be better. He was not used very well by Trgo IMO. If Peppers leaves we lose some great talent but It will not cripple us because we have great LBs and some good rushers in Johnson and Taylor. IMO Brayton really was not all that bad ether after he got all that Raider crap out of his system. He was a very poor tackler to start with then just got better at Pass rush and Run D.

Fox has never liked bringing more than the front 4 and that is what Meeks did in Indy. If Peppers leaves we go from an average/bad front 4 pass rush to a bad front 4 pass rush. No reason to believe our LBs are going to become an active part of pressure next season. As long as Fox is in Carolina.....it is fairly easily to project what we will do.

No reason to believe our LBs are going to become an active part of pressure next season. As long as Fox is in Carolina.....it is fairly easily to project what we will do.

Wrong we have always used CB blitzs and we used alot of LB blitz last year. The LBs were more involved last year because we have better LBs and poor line depth. Hell we even used Godfrey as a Blitzer off the corner last year. Really thats just a stereotype of Fox.

I really cant wait to see what we do with Hillee Taylor. Dude has awesome speed and if hes putting on more muscle mass he may actually turn into a robert mathis type for carolina which would be awesome.

he seems injury prone..he was hurt a lot last year...also look for casper brinkley to maybe do something we wanted to keep him last year..but we kept taylor i think there may be a competion between the two for a real roster spot

Its hard for some players bodes to adjust to the 16 game season. We will know more this season when he has a full year to recover.

i like hilee a lot and think that he has great potential if meeks can do/tries to do what he did with the DEs in indy. the kid has an awesome motor and even though he overpursues...i like him being a constant threat that the OL and QB constantly have to be watching.

that said, i see him being more a rotational guy. i don't have a problem with that either. on passing downs he should be in there.
