RECORD: Most pass attempts by a rookie

Right now, Cam is at 452 attempts throughout this year. The record is being held by Sam Bradford with 590 attempts. This is going to be a tough record for Cam to catch up to, but it is attainable. 148 to go

RECORD: Most completions by a rookie

Sam Bradford holds this passing record for most completions in his rookie year. The mark that Bradford set was 354 completions.

Cam has 270 completions so far this year. 84 more to go

RECORD:Highest completion % by a rookie

The highest completion percentage in a rookie season record is held by Ben Roethlisberger. Marino set the mark at 66.44 percent.

Cam has completed 60.8 percent of his passes. If he continues to throw the ball like he has been all year long, he will break this record as well.

RECORD: Average Passing Yards Per Gain

The highest average passing gain in a rookie season is held by Greg Cook in 1969. The mark is at 9.411 yards per gain.

Cam is sitting at eight yards per gain. He will have to connect on a few more deep balls if he wants to keep up and pass Greg Cook.

Forgive me if you're the one who edits Newton's Wikipedia but if not you should give credit to the person who does. Not taking anything away from having all of this information on the board, we should have had it sooner, but you shouldn't take away from someone who did the work before you.

He isn't getting the attempts. No way he gets 50 a game.

He has only had 28 completions once and got 27 another. Again, not happening next three games.

Don't even think it's possible to raise his completion percentage enough so thats out of the question.

Yards per pass maybe be attainable like you said with enough deep balls.

While it would be cool to get those, not really a "record watch" when he has no chance of reaching most of them.

I agree for the most part... But don't forget that the Saints will be resting starters. Even if it's remotely possible I posted them. I do agree that he more than likely won't reach them though.

If the Saints rest starters I would think that would hurt his chances even more. Without Brees I don't see the Saints putting up near as many points so Cam won't be asked to throw as much

Yea I realized that too but I've included them anyway under the "difficult to attain section." It is still good to look at the records and compare Cam's numbers to the records, even if they may be difficult to attain.
