Rivera to Players: Jobs On the line

Cam going to be a problem next year once he gets a offseason and better at ready defenses

I swear I think about drafting Blackmon so he can rain down terror and thunder on everybody. We wont even need a defense

Blackmon will be long gone from where we will pick.

No it doesn't. Jobs should've been on the line from day 1. Mare, Fua, McClain, Captain (I'm sorry, I am a fan but he's struggled), etc. All should've been playing for jobs from day one and Rivera kept being captain motivator.

Every team has turnover in the offseason, so who cares if he's threatening it now?

Cmon bro... Really??? What do u expect from a 1st year coach with this team? How many games "could we have won"???

I think He said yesterday that we had lead in 12 of the 13 games we've played this year.

It sucks balls right now, but just wait for next year!

If we flop next year, I may have to abandon this franchise... I mean how many more "next years" can we all handle!?

I would never abandon this franchise... At least I wouldn't think so

Once Cam has a full off season to learn his craft, and our defense is back healthy with some added pieces, the Panthers should take over the league.

I honestly believe if this team simply groom Cam to be a real sit in the pocket and run when need be QB, he'll be the best. The problem is not his defense reading or any of the repetative flaws always being pointed out on this site, Cam is simply trying to do to much. And when you try to do to much, you tend to make more mistakes. Even the talking heads are starting to state the obvious.

The Panthers need to step up and help Cam more or else he will form some seriousl bad habits that will hurt this team in the long run.

There have been plenty of moves showing that nobody's starting job is set in stone with questionable performances....but are you saying cut these names? The rookies? Captain? There isn't an endless supply of upgrades waiting on the sidelines to move these guys in and out like fast food employees.

He needs to step up his coaching, can't blame it all on the players! Some terrible play calling out there. He should be careful, his job might be on the line...

Part of being a good coach is evaluating who belongs on your roster and who doesn't, and who belongs starting on your team and who doesn't

He more or less said jobs were on the line 2-3 weeks ago and posters were calling him soft then.

There have been some clock management issues as well as a few decisions that I've questioned, but no more then I question rookie mistakes by Cam.

Injuries, lockout, young team, etc etc. I'm very happy thus far. I'd be happier if I can see how the rest of the 2011 draft class aside from Cam will be, but I will just have to wait :)

No one is coming to rescue the Panthers roster-wise.

They have who they have and in most cases who they chose to retain.

...and made zero moves in the offseason to better themselves on the defensive side of the ball.

Munnerlyn didn't ask to be a starter and he probably didn't deserve to be one.

CB was not addressed, other than to release Marshall and yeah, that's right a 4th round draft pick that is yet to see the field and injured when they drafted him.

My point is simply that I believe from watching Munnerylyn, he does the absolute best he can on every play. He is not now, nor will he ever be a probowler but, there is no one else.

Hurney and Rivera made that decision, yes?
