i will say that as bad as mare and baker are and have been doing, it's not all on their heads. defenders have had plenty of time to get after them and have forced some bad things.

yep on every Mare kick.....my concern of him not even having a chance to get the kick off is every bit as great as him missing it.

I agree he is part of the problem....has been for a few years. He too often out kicks coverage. But what has killed THIS team is just downright pathetic coverage.....the pathetic coverage is why his numbers are so bad.

None of those long PR for TDs should of gone for anything. That was my only point. The horrific coverage makes a middle of the road kicker a downright horrible one.

something about baker this season that's off completely. he doesn't have the range or accuracy he did when we brought him in

he was a reasonable replacement for saurbraun, but now...i dunno.

i think you've said this in other threads, but i can't remember that actually happening. at any rate, boo hoo.

i agree about maybe drafting a new punter...or kicker...at least i wouldn't be opposed to it. he's been overrated by panther fans for years. same with kasay. both guys have the game passing by and both guys have been liabilities for years, just for different reasons. baker because he's bad and kasay because he forced us to use up another roster spot.yep. he had one season not too long ago that he had a couple blocked simply because he just wasn't paying attention.nope. cutting kasay was absolutely the right thing to do. replacing him with mare was the mistake.

it's much easier to replace kasay with a kicker that can do both than finding a punter who can do KOs. only real reason people wanted to keep kasay around was because they were sentimental.

I wouldn't mind seeing us rebuild our whole special teams. I really think we should put Hardy on special teams. I remember last year when he was always the first man down field which is great for a DE. With the Depth we have at DE it wouldn't hurt us to use him on special teams. If Barnidge is back next season which I assume he will be because of the extension he will be a big addition to our special teams but everyone else could be replaced and it would probably greatly benefit us.
