I'm an ex-smoker, I just quit a little under a year ago, but smokers don't bug me. Everyone who is claiming smokers are selfish and obnoxious are guilty of some of the same selfishness IMO, especially those anti-smokers that make it a point to annoy smokers. It's the same as the guy who keeps petitioning your homeowners association to ban dogs because he can't stand hearing your dog bark a few times a day. It's the "If I don't like it, it must go" attitude.

The bad parenting here is dragging your kid out there with you to freeze for 5 minutes.
