The enthusiasm gap

it's not about faking anything its about being a professional and not letting your hurt feelings get in the way of doing your job.

that's what a pro is.

exactly.

it's got nothing to do with faking being pissed at yourself or at what happened and everything to do with shaking it off and moving on. you own it and get over it.

you will never really move forward until you quit looking over your shoulder. professionals don't pretend that nothing happened. they move on and do it better than before. the more successful you are, the quicker you are able to do it.

i think it's worse that most of the team has no problem riding on his shoulders.

I can't blame the defense for this loss, they were hung out to dry. The offense needs to at least stay on the field to give the defense a break as well as stop letting the Falcons get in a rhythm.

1st possession: three and out. Result - Atlanta gets ball at their own 43 and gets a field goal

2nd possession: Cam feels pressure that isn't there, freaks out, throws a pick. It's even worse that this was a first down play. Atlanta ball on our 35, scores two plays later

3rd possession: Got something going here, holding on Olsen. Next play = pick. Defense steps up and forces a field goal that they miss

This was the spot to make the momentum shift back. They needed a drive here to get back into the game

4th Possession: 1st down holding call on a no gainer. Two passes to the running backs follow that.

This is where the game shifted for good. Failing to do anything on offense again and putting the defense back on the field and they let up a 90 yard drive.

5th possession: Three and out again. They look like they're down 20 when they're down by one.

The defense forces a three and out here.

Finally, the Panthers make it across midfield and miss a FG. That miss in my mind just destroyed the team, giving up an easy TD two plays later.

The game is about momentum and the Panthers don't understand it yet.

That pressure that wasn't there was pulling him to the ground at the time he underhanded it, that was the problem.

i agree about momentum, but i can and do fault the defense for the loss just as much as i fault the offense, special teams, and coaching. it was a 100% team effort. same with the first half.

the first half rocked because everyone played lights out. the coaches were calling everything right and then they all just fell on their asses and gave up.

they lost the game before the game was over. falcons smelled blood and put us away.

Cam bailed out of the pocket. Bernadeau was actually between the defender and Cam before he ran outside the pocket. Cam ran to his left making Bernadeau's blocking pointless because Cam had relocated to beside rather than behind him.

the Panthers very first drive I noticed how flat footed Cam was. Just seemed stiff.

Like I have been saying all season. This season and how the O has played along with Cam is all house money to me.

Next year gentlemen. All the posts and threads go up a notch in importance. Just enjoy the rest of this season and bring your coaches clicker and then we can talk deep of all things Panther football.
