The stadium atmosphere sucked ass today too.

Is there any stadium that is filled with opposing teams fans like BOA

Raiders been losing and still stayed deep. Its a lot of organizations who been losing which doesnt look like that stadium. Its a shame it really is

Well seeing as Oakland is a really great place to visit I'm surprised more people don't go

Anyway there are always tons of falcon fans at this game, theyre a 5 hour drive away so of course they'll travel.

But to answer your question the Ravens used to have the same problem with redskin and steelers fans a few years back. I'm not making that up because my gf is a diehard ravens fan from Maryland and they used to have the same problem when they were having bad or mediocre seasons. In essence it's up to winning to bring the casual fans out.

Meh. I thought it was alright. It was a little quieter than normal but everyone was still rowdy and pumped up

Biscuit said.it.was hard.to hear us on tv though

Yeah it was noticeably quiet on TV today and a lot of empty seats... even in the first half when we were dominating.

Gantt posted on Twitter that lines were long getting in today... true?

I think it boils down to economics...NC in general doesn't have good blue collar paying jobs and the only folks who can afford psls are the "wine and cheese" crowd. Pittsburgh, Philly, New York, Boston, Buffalo, Seattle, etc...have rabid fan bases and that's due to a better blue collar job market. Blue collar workers are a far more rowdy fan vs white collar fans. In Carolina, if the weather isn't pretty or the team isn't performing great them the tickets are sold to opposing fans or they just don't show up/leave early.

this

it comes down to how well a team can sell their market and Charlotte is a solid mix of northern transplants, young bankers from all over, & more northern transplants. There's about an estimated 150,000 (at the most ) of the current population around 730,000 that would be considered existing from the inaugural 1995 in-season population...then you have the target metro given highway accessibility around ~2,000,000 people.

Charlotte simply grew faster than the team could develop its fan base over the past 15 years. One super bowl run helped out, but not a lot...Cam will definitely help out more in this area. Basically, we've never really had this legit of a marketable figure for the entire league so that will generate us more fans and hopefully better atmospheres.

If there is ever a faster more efficient rail from Charlotte to the Triad, that would solve everything. Really...and that could benefit both cities beyond even sports.

This post makes me :banghead::ack2::frown: I am born and raised here and am living back here after attending college out of state and after serving in the military. This franchise represents my heart and my connection to this area. Unfortunately my profession requires I work some weekends, which honestly hurts so much I think about changing careers, even though I do enjoy my job and was able to watch regardless. Playing our most hated rival and a team I despise, I pled desperately for my family and friends at the game to represent. Obviously, it wasn't enough based on this post.

Whether you are from Charlotte, decided to move here due to family/friends/weather/job, or whatever, the fact that so many people in life have so little community pride (and therefore themselves), is truly . Without pride in where you live, what do you really even have in life? Especially for the most popular game in the greatest country on earth in a great city on a beautiful day with an exciting young team against your most hated rival!!!!! :mad2::ack2: WTF else to people do in life???!!!! Oh well, I will be at the game in Christmas Eve and will be loud as ever. I will never give up and will bring the pride and passion regardless of record or weather. Not sure when things will change but I won't give up.

It wasn't full at the beginning bc something was going on.and holding up the lines outside the stadium. Not sure why but I heard someone talking about it..

I walked up around 1:05* and the South entrance was backed up almost to the street and it wasn't moving. Looked like a 20-30 minute wait.

Thought about heading to the bar to watch the game for a few minutes but decided to just lineup.

Sat for like 3 minutes with no movement and then the floodgates opened.

Somebody said the scanners weren't working then they got fixed.
