When Losing Is Good For You

We all knew there were no playoffs in our future this year, so development of young talent must be paramount, and any wins that result are an added bonus.

As terrific as Cam has been this year, something that will have to be drilled into him is the importance of using his considerable skills to manage a game, not just win one. He is a very emotional player, and while that emotion drives him to improve and compete, it also tends to turn dark in a hurry when plays go against him. Just like any attribute, this fire can be both a blessing and a curse: the blessing is that he will not give up and will continually battle back, the curse in that he will start to press too soon when he feels the game might slip away. It's a maturation process, and the more he experiences the frustration of turnovers and heart-wrenching losses, the more it will steel him in the future as long as he reacts in the right manner.

One of the pitfalls of early success is that it tends to make young players believe that they have arrived, when the truth is you never actually arrive anywhere: the league changes to react to you, and you must learn to react to those changes constantly.

These are dangerous times for our young rookie, but they are needed, and if the coaches can navigate him through this minefield he will come out much better for it.

My ex was the same way - very competitive girl but when things start breaking down - she gets negatively moody and its was just painful trying to deal with. I suffered for about 8 months of that poo and im telling you - you need so much energy to manage someone like that.

Newton overtime will learn that all that jungle talk is great and no one gets up wanting to loose but winning is something that you learn over time. To win in the Nfl - requires building a team; you can get all huffy and puffy about your teammates but youre stuck with them for a year. He has a great asset in Ron and a team that is hungry and ready to do whatever it takes to win. We all take different paths in life and different people need a different approach to get motivated to pay more attention.

Thats why Everyone gives him Sh*it about that towel on his head.

Cam - remove that towel and talk to you TEAM MATES and do your best to find out how to motivate everyone on defense, even your coaches to go for it on 4th downs. When youre playing teams like atlanta - you cant afford to go 3 n outs in the 4th quarter. That is unnacceptable - The NFL is a matha Tracking jungle and its my boy Cam who needs to shape up QUICK.

This team Badly needs a defense and my god we have the best guy in the NFL to do that ; swear to god just give ron one offseason.

To win you need balance; you need to understand there are many personalities out there that approach life on a different pace. The trick comes in knowing and learning how to find a median.

Panthers are already great - they just need to get better at closing.

the team needs to get consistent and build chemistry.. fill holes, we are depleted at certain areas..

there is really no reason for everyone to scream bloody murder at this point.. nothing is going to change right away just because people can't control their PMS..
