My New 2012 NFL Mock Draft

Hey guys, I've updated my mock draft for the 3/4 point of the season.

I enjoyed reading it. I really wish there was a quality DT in this draft we could snag, I think it's a much bigger need than CB at this point.

Not too sure about DT being a bigger need than CB. We are in dire need of 2nd CB. We have rookie DTs who will benefit from playing so much their rookie season and Edwards.

As far as the draft goes, I don't like Krikpatrick. Not that great cover corner. Really wish if Claiborne is gone we go OT, DT, or trade down.

In that scenario, if we can't trade down, Kirkpatrick would be an ok choice. I'm not very big on him though. I'd really hope we could trade down and take Still (if he's looking legit) or Brown in the mid to low teens.

After today i agree about CB being a big need. Captain is a good player he just isn't cut out for being an every down corner.

For me it's been that way since the beginning of the season.

Munnerlyn is good for ST coverage though.

That's the reason I'd like to see us get Claiborne.

It moves Butler to the nickel, and Captain to a dedicated Special Teams player, where he could honestly be a Team Captain (no pun intended). He could be another Karl Hankton for us.

(9:00 PM): SC OT denies earlier report about leaning toward staying in school ... Southern California junior LT Matt Kalil has denied published reports earlier today that he is leaning strongly toward returning for his senior season next fall. Kalil, who is currently being projected as the top OT in the 2012 draft and a possible top 5 pick were he to declare for this year’s draft, says he is still gathering information and exploring his options.

Not sold on lester would prefer a veteran at safety, but you could be on to something!

As bad as I wanted to win the game against Atlanta, this is a good consolation prize if we get Claiborne.

I updated the draft order based for week 14, assuming St. Louis loses tonight, you guys will be tied with Jacksonville for the 5th pick with identical SoS's. That would be interesting if the season ended that way, two teams with a high pick and similar needs. That would be one intense coin flip!

Very well done. I dont want to see us take a cb in the first round with so much talent ať that position later in the draft. If the draft pans out like this we need to trade down.
