I don't know about The Golden Calf of Bristol being better than Newton. He's better late in the game, but I definitely think Fox is better than Rivera.

I can't believe it, but I miss Fox too. It's too bad Hurney and JR ran him out of town with that poo team they gave him last year. At least with Fox we were disciplined and played defense

Move Mare way up that list.

We actually moved the ball and were about to take a lead... I doubt we give up a 77 yard TD if we do. Sure, maybe it's a slow methodical drive but very different.

Mare missing that kick was one of many reasons we lost, but he was a major one.

That's exactly why we have to cut him NOW. Waiting until he's single handily costing us wins will be a much worse reality. We all know it's going to happen again, probably more often than not, so let's get his ass out of here while it's not a playoff year.

This is the problem with u guys and this team. U make everything about Cam. Not about the Panthers. The Panthers is a team. They have to learn how to win irregardless to how their rookie QB is playing because he is the rookie.

Every team that has a rookie has realized that. Why is it that the Panthers have their entire team riding on the back of a rookie QB, instead of helping him through his rookie season? You did it with Jimmy and you're now doing it with Cam.

Cam isn't playing well, that is when the rest of the team needs to step up and help him. When he's on top of his game, that is when the team needs to go even harder.

For him to collapse and the rest of the team follow him says a lot about the team IMO. And it says even more about you fans who sit and bitch like a bunch of tempermental school girls.

Funny that no matter how bad Blaine is playing, the majority of the Jags fans are backing him. Why can't you Panthers fans do the same for Cam. Instead you sit there and get upset with every INT, and every sack or every missed drive. Such a bunch of wusses.

Football is a MAN's sport. So man up and take the good with the bad and don't stop believe your team have a chance until the 60 minutes is over.

We still back Cam even if we complain about him, FIAS. Acknowledging that his turnovers cost us our lead in this game isn't slighting him in some way.

As to why we lean on him, it's because we couldn't get poo going on in the run game. The Falcons are weaker against the pass. It showed in the first half.

In the second half we just flat out sucked on offense for most of our drives, and no small part of that was Cam.

As to why we can't be the Jets and lean on our defense, probably because our defense fuging blows at finishing games in no small part due to total lack of depth.

Loss isn't all on Cam, but it is partly. As much or more on Mare imo.

Our defense isn't the biggest difference. We have a lot of injuries this year. It's our offense that's not efficient compared to Fox's teams. Fox believed in efficiency. He was just TOO damn conservative. Didn't take chances late in the game when we needed to.

Going for it on 4th downs. Taking more shots at TD's against high powered offenses versus FG, when a FG wasn't going to hold them. Fox put too much on his defense and no defense can stand a chance against very high powered offenses with laser accurate QB's.

My issue was Jake/Fox combo. It just became a problem because they no longer adapted as a coach/QB combination. But keeping one, and separating them, would have been much smarter than getting rid of both. We could have kept Fox until a QB was ready to take the reigns, or vice-versa. But with both a rookie HC and a rookie QB, you have major problems.

It's going to take a long time before we can find proper replacements and we have positioned ourselves for continuing this trend of replacing top positions. We might not yet have the answer with neither, Newton or Rivera, and that's what I was afraid of most.

If Newton starts playing but we change coaches, that right there can still create an issue. If Rivera ends up being a good coach but we have to change QB's again, that will once again cause issues if we can't find a good QB. I'm bracing myself for an unpredictable number of years of suck thanks to some very horrible decisions up top the past couple of years.

Not confident at all in this team, coach or Cam Newton going forward based on this season.

Holy poo he did it again!!! Chicago was 10-0 with less than 3 minutes left. UNREAL. The Golden Calf of Bristol scored than they followed it up with a 59 FG tying kick. Damn! As a Panther fan this brings back so many memories. They're tied and going into OT and I'm stuck watching this lame as GB game. Watching the little ESPN flash game.

Anyone know where I might be able to watch this? I'm starting to believe this whole The Golden Calf of Bristol magic, and Cardiac Cat magic could also have a lot to do with John Fox magic.

Coincidence he's doing this all over again with another QB everyone thinks is crap? The Golden Calf of Bristol might have a lot to do with it, but I also think Fox knows how to make a group or a team believe and motivate them. Last couple of years we may have had some drama, but in general he was very good about this. He'd even bench Smith in a heart beat if it caused moral or drama within the team.

I think that's Fox's biggest thing. He'll take a lesser athlete as long as the guy's a great team player over the opposite and it seems to pay off for him.
