This is how Newton's basic work week looks:

Monday: Nurse bruises and review tape of the previous day's game, usually 2 1/2 to three hours with Anderson, Clausen and Shula.

Tuesday: On what is considered a day off, Newton and the quarterbacks group spend a few hours watching tape of the upcoming opponent.

Wednesday: Quarterback meeting from 8 a.m. until 10:45 a.m., plus practice, followed by more meetings and tape study. Optional extra tape study is available.

Thursday: See Wednesday.

Friday: See Thursday, only with a lighter practice and less tape study.

Saturday: Two-hour tape study in the morning. Another one-hour session in the evening.

Sunday: Play. Strike Superman pose after touchdowns.

Up to 30 hours a week. Anyone want to question Cam's work ethic now?

Read the Disturber comments section sometime :)

And yes, it's 30 hours a week just with Shula. Doesn't include practice/working out, etc.

Why would I read those comments? There is nothing to be gained from reading that drivel. Your message was posted here so I assumed it was directed to this board...

Why was his work ethics a issue in the first place again? Oh yes, because he kept being compared to Jamarcus Russel...That's it.:)

I don't think it had anything to do with J Russel, imo. Had to do with his past. But hey, let's just keep on going! :beatdeadhorse5:

not here to criticize him. i've been on his bandwagon for over a year now.

i think it's great that he's working hard, but he's doing what he should be doing anyway and not more than most people do on a daily/weekly basis as far as hours put in doing hard work.

i won't celebrate him for that anymore than the average joe should be celebrated for putting in 40+ hours a week. only reason it should be an issue is if he isn't putting in at least that amount every week.

    • BB building a NFL caliber program. We training entirely different. The guys we had this year will be stronger, smarter, faster. The transfers are coming.    Im more worried about the QB position. We have to hit on that guy.
    • https://www.thescore.com/nhl/news/3162765/report-forsberg-vejmelka-vladar-on-hurricanes-radar The Carolina Hurricanes are eyeing a trio of goaltenders to fortify their depth between the pipes. Ottawa's Anton Forsberg, Utah's Karel Vejmelka, and Calgary's Dan Vladar are on Carolina's radar, reports The Athletic's Pierre LeBrun. However, none of those teams are in sell mode yet and might not be at all depending on how their seasons go, LeBrun notes. All three goalies are pending unrestricted free agents. Forsberg has posted an .889 save percentage in 11 games with the Senators this campaign as Linus Ullmark's backup. The 32-year-old journeyman previously spent time in Raleigh during in 2019-20. Vejmelka has emerged as Utah's starter this season, registering a sparkling .915 save percentage in 17 appearances. Vladar has struggled with an .885 save percentage in 16 games while sharing the Flames' crease with Dustin Wolf. The Canes also reportedly spoke to the Anaheim Ducks about John Gibson after missing out on Mackenzie Blackwood, who was dealt to the Colorado Avalanche on Dec. 9. Pyotr Kochetkov has struggled with an .895 save percentage in 18 games as Carolina's No. 1 goalie this season. Veteran netminder Frederik Andersen hasn't played since October and was given an eight-week timeline after undergoing knee surgery in late November.
    • I haven’t seen him play, but if he doesn’t get separation and he’s slow, that doesn’t sound like a top 5 WR
