Good Free Adware/Malware Programs

I've generally had luck with Malwarebytes Anti-malware (http://www.malwarebytes.org) but I dunno if it's as good as it used to be now that they are really pushing the "pro" version.

Well you could have 3 free programs to scan everything.

AVG for your antivirus

SuperAntispyware (I use this cause I can choose what it scans plus it scans extra things) or Malwarebytes for adware/malware

Spybot for other crap

Don't need anything else unless you want a registry cleaner such as CCleaner. Been using this along with AVG, SAS, and Spybot for years.

I currently use Spybot and Malwarebytes. both are very good.

I'm also using Microsoft Security Essentials as my full time AV program. I have no problems with any of them.

spybot s&d, advanced system care

if ur really brave or have a nasty rootkit, combofix. but combofix really does strip ur pc down, even reverting your default browser back to IE if u use chrome, mozilla or firefox

combofix is like industrial strength solvent for ur OS

Yea I'd only use combofix if your pc is really fuged up. I didn't know about it making your pc revert back to IE.

you just have to launch your preferred browser and set it as default

Win7 protection 2012 is a pain to remove. Finally was able to get rid of it.

I don't use an antivirus. Only ever got viruses from web browsing before and with the firefox addon Noscript, I don't have to worry about those anymore.
