Mysterious boom on the coast?

Probably a natural phenomenon, the Earth can do some pretty crazy things. There are many rare natural events that we still know very little about.

As long as it was a "boom" and not a "bloop" like the one recorded in 1997 that was picked up by sensors all around the Pacific and had a frequency that indicated it was made by a living organism and not a natural event.

It could be a lot of things, even a military aircraft breaking the sound barrier in just the right conditions for the wave to carry.

I'm completely open to the possibility that the Earth may be a living organism. After all, we don't notice the tiny insects inhabiting our bodies either.

Although I might notice once they started building their version of the Great Wall. That would probably itch.
