But it doesn't matter. They were never going to make the playoffs and they weren't trying to make the playoffs. This season was about building for the future and it's working. This is an extended preseason for your team in hopes to be ready to roll next year.

Your team looks very promising but you do have many holes to fill(after losing matt moore). Your QB has two more years before(he backs up matt moore in miami) but all signs point to it being a good pick(after matt moore), as long as he doesn't regress like many do. Your receivers area a threat with Smitty, a promising Gettis returning, and any one of the other young guys stepping up. TE is one of the strongest parts of your offense and Olsen is young, Shockey is a leader, and Barnidge will be given a chance to prove he's worthy of being in the lineup when the time comes. Your backs are as talented as they come, despite their utilization in this offense. You We have as many weapons as anyone else in the league( except the dolphins)

Defense is another story. This draft should be defensive heavy with the exception of a possible stud WR or T. Your young DTs will have an offseason to get stronger and prove they weren't just quantity picks, but quality picks as well. You'll get your leader back in the middle. you need a #2 corner to develop and it would be nice to see improved safety play.

Despite this team looking for it's 5th win of the season and no real trademark, quality wins thus far, you are a threat to almost anyone out there and next year looks even better ( if you sign matt moore)

it was a good post. i hope he can keep it up. he (or anyone else) should be surprised when his better posts aren't met with a bit of cynicism. it's well deserved, imo.

It was just a catchy title to talk about the expectations this team should have and the progress we are making to become a true playoff threat. The pieces we have, the decisions the FO made, the experience we've gained, etc
