Panthers Cool With Cam's Comments

I agree. I have no problem with The Golden Calf of Bristol and what he is doing. In the end, it just matters that you win. There are no style points in football just Ws and Ls. Since he has taken over, Denver has been a roll. He deserves the press he has been getting. I don't see how that is a takeaway from Newton as some folks do.

The Golden Calf of Bristol is the Wild Cat a few years ago. Very effective but you just know teams will start to adjust to it soon enough. He deserves the cred he is getting and needs the lime light now cause unless he can prove he is a QB capable of passing the ball on a regular bases then he will be shut down soon enough.

I think people misconstrue what he said to mean "I don't ever mess up so when other guys do mess up it pisses me off"

What he was trying to actually convey is that he wants his other teammates to hurt as bad as he does when he screws up or when he makes a bad play or loses a game. He wants others to hold themselves to the same standard as he holds himself to in terms of not accepting failure on any given play or any given Sunday.

No one misconstrued what Cam said. It's using emotional grabbing headlines. Our media is famous for doing that because they know once they got you emotionally, they can control the rest of the article. You're not encouraged to view the article objectively.

I bet Jon Beason loves this attitude..I remember him calling out Peppers for his lack of intensity and that caused a stir.

We get him back then we will have someone on both sides of the ball who hold their teammates to higher standards and are not afraid to tell them they need to step up their desire to win.

The fact that everything this kid says, get spun into him being arrogant is seriously telling. Especially when even a blind man can tell that the offense is WAY better than the defense and the defense is hurting the team.

I can bet you dollars to donuts that if Blaine Gabbert was performing like Cam and said the same thing, there wouldn't be any need for an explanation or defending.

He's used to it.

Last year he'd go to the stands and celebrate with the Auburn students after a win... and they'd say he was arrogant.

He'd blow a kiss to his Mom in the stands after the game... and they'd say he was arrogant.

He'd lay on the ground after a play for a few extra seconds (still does actually)... and they'd say he was arrogant.

He'd wear a towel on his head on the sideline (still does actually)... and they'd say he was arrogant.

He's used to it. And he also knows, with regard to the people constantly drawing the mistaken conclusion, that there is no way he can change their minds. Nor, in my opinion, does he really care to. He just doesn't even pay any attention to them. They're like those tiny birds that eat bugs that stay on the back of charging bull elephephants... they are beneath his ability to care about.

You can label me all u want but please don't insult my intelligence with the whole "it isn't racism" because of the color of the person doing the interviewing. That attitude alone is quite telling.

Especially since what you were obviously talking about were the comments ABOUT the interview itself and not the interview or who conducted it.

But there are good people in all walks of life who like to pretend that racism no longer exists and has been stamped out for good.

Im just glad Cameron has good people around him to help him wade thru the bullshit. Having his dad in his corner has been a huge ASSET to him withstanding the baseless character attacks and lowballing of his ability that people put out there. He's remained very focused on the task at hand and remains positive despite those things.
