Panthers Cool With Cam's Comments

now we'll have to wait another 9 months before he gives a national interview...

He shouldn't have given one in the first place. He obviously haven't learnt how our media operate. Especially when it comes to certain players in the NFL.

Honestly, I'm not so concerned about the media as I am about those who hide their true feelings about Cam behind every negative spin the media puts out against him. It's kinda sad to realize that many of the same folks who are quick to label Cam's comments as arrogant or selfish because he spoke the truth, would be the first to turn around and applaude someone like The Golden Calf of Bristol, or Blaine Gabbert if they had expressed the same feelings.

That, IMO, is very telling.

Dude, please stop with the loaded comments in regards to Cam. This isn't a race thing, it's a media thing because they need the ratings. Cam's interviewer was black, and as a white dude I LOVED Cam's remarks.

The color of his skin only matters to trolls and idiots, I'm much more concerned with the fire within in him, and how awesomely bright it is.

I read some of the comments on that forum under the article.

It was unbelievable to me.

I thought his interview was honest, and candid and I didn't find anything offensive about it.

What I do find offensive though is The Golden Calf of Bristol and his incessant praying and saying that 'god has blessed him AND his team'.

I surely hope, with all the rape, murder, suffering, hunger, death and dying in this world, that the good Lord has more important things to worry about than over indulged athletes players playing a game for money.

I felt the way way with Mark Brunell. I did not feel that way about John Kasay.

As far as The Golden Calf of Bristol goes, as the saying states, 'if it looks to good to be true, it probably is'.

Imagine, for just one moment, if Newton was playing QB the way The Golden Calf of Bristol is now, what would the media say?

I think his "my level" comment was meant toward he disdain of losing. Apparently there are some on the team that aren't affected by a losing record or by bad plays. A leader is supposed to call out his players not pat them on the back so if this helps set a example to the rest then so be it. Even if this wasn't a good thing for him to say then i'm sure no one took it that way. He's a young kid and I'm sure he will learn in time what to say and when to say it.

You can label me all u want but please don't insult my intelligence with the whole "it isn't racism" because of the color of the person doing the interviewing. That attitude alone is quite telling.

Quite telling of what? That it's easier to believe the media is lazy and ready to blow things out of proportion or that Cam is scrutinized and judged unfairly by everyone just because of the color of his skin? Don't attribute malice where stupidity will suffice.

Bottom line is that the media wants The Golden Calf of Bristol to be the second coming so anything that they can find negative about Cam they will use it. Cam sets a record this past weekend and gives a young fan the ball but all "they" talk about is that Jesus freak The Golden Calf of Bristol.

I really agree with you.

I kept watching the media to hear about Cam's 4 TDs, four TDS, let me say it again, 4 TDs.

All I heard about was The Golden Calf of Bristol.

Worst QB I have ever seen. The Broncos win in spite of him.

Yeah, Cam broke a record that has stood for 35 years in 2 games less then it was originally set and you barely hear any mention of it.

Now Fox is being hyped as the coach of the year because he turned to The Golden Calf of Bristol in desperation and it worked out (so far). If Fox was such a genius, wouldn't he have started The Golden Calf of Bristol from day 1? He traded Brandon Lloyd because he assumed it was a lost season, but now he's coach of the year.

Two very polarized QBs. One gets scorned for everything he does and is always being told how he should act, play, and say. The other is doing whatever he wants and is dictating how the media treats him.

So damn telling.

Correction: the media wants stories that resonate with the public. It doesn'i matter if it is positive or negative, the only thing that matters is the interest.

The Golden Calf of Bristol is all over the media because his stories generate readers and viewers. It is not because ESPN has an agenda other than making money.
