Yea just heard this on 610. they said 1 cop is dead, another person possibly a student was shot and the suspect is still at large

I still get vt alerts by text. Shots fired with 1 officer shot. And another possible victim. We seem to get extra press when this poo happens though.

So guess who happened to be walking through Cassel parking lot when this happened...this guy. Was going to get some lunch and pulled in the parking lot, passing a cop car that had pulled someone over just inside. When walking to the dining hall I heard what I thought was backfire from a car at first but coming from that direction.

Luck was on my side today.

Two people, including a police officer, were shot dead Thursday at Virginia Tech, where 33 people were killed in 2007 in the deadliest mass shooting in modern U.S. history, a university spokesman said.

Officials warned everyone to seek shelter while an armed suspect was at large on the campus.

"We don’t know if the suspect fled or the extent of the injuries to the suspect or to the officer," NBC News’ Pete Williams told msnbc cable TV earlier.

Campus is on lockdown and the shooter has not been found.
