Kalil not entering 2012 draft.

I just disagree. I think your allowing a perceived reputation of him to base your opinion. He has built his speed since he was recruited out of high school and it's showed.

Ok. Well, you watch speed teams over the past few years like Oregon and Florida and you watch Alshon...he just isn't fast. I don't know of anyone outside of SC fans who actually think he has legitimate speed.

Matt Batkley mentioned a couple weeks ago that he and Kalil were going to make the decision to come out together. This could very well mean he stays as well.

damnit!!! that puts us 2 spots back instead of 1. I will say, Barkley is a moron if he doesnt come out.

Maybe Andrew Luck's dad told Kalil how bad Charlotte and the Panthers suck. If that's the case, I like our track record. Luck staying in school got us Cam.

I would hate to be in Luck's shoes right now. If Indy decides to ship Manning off and draft Luck he will be expected to set the world on fire like Cam has but to a greater extent. If by some possibility they do pass on him he likely will fall to the mess that is the Redskins.

You're right. People think Jeffery is some slow behemoth running down the field.

According to CBSSports, Jeffery's 40 time was only .02 seconds slower than Justin Blackmon's and Michael Floyd's. No one calls either of those guys slow.

I'm not even sure that the Redskins would take Luck. Shanahan's offense is a very mobile QB friendly offense, and RG3 fits that bill better than Luck.

Three of the top 10 players in the draft are OT's. There is one CB and one DE who I suppose we could pick. The other 5 are QB's, WR's, and a RB, none of these positions are positions of need for us, IMO. That means unless we trade down we are probably looking at Claiborne or one of the OT's.

The highest rated DT is at 19 and the highest rated OLB is at 22 so if we wanted to pick someone at these positions it would be a real reach if we didn't trade down.

There are also several DT's and OLB's with second round grades so we could go CB or OT with our first pick and then get someone for one of these positions in the 2nd round.

Assuming you are using Mel Kiper or Todd McShay's rankings and not directly communicating with Marty Hurney and our scouting department like NJPanthers12, i will point out that Cam Newton wasn't on either of their draft boards at this time last year. A lot can change from now until the end of April. As much I as enjoy reading the "guru" projections, there is no validity in referencing where these guys are on a list in December.
