Panthers To Test Wi-Fi At Next Home Game

Pretty cool....recieved this email from the Panthers today....i've always had trouble posting pics to Facebook on gamedays because it takes so freakin' long...maybe this will help :D

As a valued PSL Owner of the Carolina Panthers, we are constantly trying to make your game day experience more enjoyable so it is with great excitement that we invite you to help us test our newest innovation in Bank of America Stadium – free Wi-Fi service!

The Carolina Panthers have teamed up with AT&T Wi-Fi Services to create an in-stadium, Wi-Fi network (over 450 access points) that will provide all fans in attendance with better internet service and e-mail access.

During our next home game, Dec. 11th vs. Atlanta, we’d like to invite you to help us test our new Wi-Fi service with your smart phone or other Wi-Fi -enabled device. In order to participate in the test of free AT&T Wi-Fi service on Dec. 11th:

1. First connect to “attwifi” network from your wireless device (iPhone, Android, Blackberry, iPad, Palm, Windows Mobile)

2. After the option of “attwifi” comes up & you select it, you must then go to your phone’s internet browser which should bring up the AT&T Wi-Fi landing page (see example below). The browser for Droids is the globe icon and for iPhones it’s a Safari icon.

3. Once you are on the AT&T landing page you must then check the box (check will go from black to green on Android devices) to agree to terms. Then click on the orange “Get Connected” button.

4. Note – if you’re an AT&T Mobility subscriber, you will not be required to accept the AT&T Agreement. Instead, you

will be instantly connected when you select “attwifi” as instructed in Step #1.

5. For non-AT&T customers, this Wi-Fi connection process will be required only one time each game day.

After the game, we’d love to hear from you about your experience with our new AT&T Wi-Fi service. Please send your comments to [email protected]

Thanks again for helping us test the latest upgrade to your game day experience in Bank of America Stadium.

Cool, but I hope this doesn't mean half our fans will be checking their fantasy scores instead of getting loud on 3rd down.

True....this is what our society has progressed to....no one can go 5 minutes w/out their cell phone it seems. I guess this is just another way to 'keep up' with everyone else. :iagree:

They don't get loud regardless. I wish their was a rowdy section.

I hear ya on that..... my section is ok but nowhere near what I would like and prefer at a football game. One of my suggestions everytime I get a Panther survery is they need to do more via stadium announcer, scoreboards etc to encourage and get the fans to get loud!!!
