Falcons doing everything to gift this game

Cam didn't have a good day in Atlanta....and Carolina had the lead to the start the 4th.

Ryan and Turner are poo on grass. No reason for it but they just are. Carolina has been slaughtered by 1 team all year.....so that would suggest the odds of that occuring would be fluke.

Carolina might not win....but I see nothing from an Atlanta team that suggest them beating us down on grass.

i agree with the talking about our first game.

i tend to agree about ryan and turner being poo on grass, but that isn't a given.

he's got no TDs on grass this year, but he's got a higher ypa on grass.

@ chicago this year he had a 10 carry/100 yard game. sure, 53 yards of that was on one carry, but aside from that he was averaging 5.2 yards per carry. that isn't exactly poo.

against us in charlotte last year he had a 28 carry, 112 yards 3 TD day...and that was against what many consider to be a superior defense to this years. the year prior to that he had 111 yards on 9 carries.

color me concerned. i've got little confidence in us being able to shut him down when he's got the ball.

we have to be able to keep him out of the equation by making them play from behind and keeping them in as many passing situations as possible because then all he's good for is a blocker.

Hope not. I actually want to see the Panthers beat a team with a decent qb in the lineup
a win is a win.

i feel no sympathy for teams playing against us who are missing key and vital players because we get none for the guys we are missing.

wins don't count less because one side is at less than full strength.

we know our defense is poo this year. i'll take any advantage we can have to get that win.

Grimes out, and Turner's groin, we should win this game. No outdoor games in two months?

In all fairness, the roof on Lucas Oil Stadium was open when we played the Colts a month ago.

I don't think it playing outside will be a problem for Atlanta, stopping Cam is a different story though.

Ok, I'm still laughing...you consider the 'roof being open' the same playing on real grass, with real wind, and real cold.

Alrighty then.

Valid points Rayor.

One thing to consider.

The Panthers seem to have a running game now. Not so the first time with Atlanta and we have that run game without Otah being in there.

The Panthers also put themselves in quite a hole early due to turnovers, that played right into the Falcons hands.

The best way to negate Turner/Gonzalez is to not have them on the field by getting ahead by a TD or 2 and strong ball control.

Do that, and play mistake free football, and the Panthers win this game.

Now, if Cam comes out and doesn't control that ball, and the Panthers fall behind by 2 TDs, horse of a very differnent color then.

Panthers just need to establish a run game on offense early, wear down the Falcon defense early. Long sustaining drives that keeps their offense off the field. Maybe get some stops.

I really don't see this game being totally out of reach, but it'll be a tough game for sure

Did I watch a different game?
That's what I was wondering...weren't we up by 3 after 3 quarters? The INT on the screen pass in the 4th quarter killed us....terrible decision and throw when we were driving again to try and tie it up. Hopefully Cam watched the film on that a few times and burned that in the memory bank.

It just boggles my mind how people that theoretically know the panthers could watch that game against the falcons and come away with such awfully wrong opinions about it.

Maybe my front row fifty yard line tickets gave me a better vantage point but Christ dudes.

So are you just smarter than everybody or do you have an unfair advantage due your amazing tickets? Do tell.

Panthers are up and coming. With Cam under the huddle for many more years to come. Think that they will become contenders in the NFC South for many, many more years to come. Remember this is a rebuilding process for the players, coaches, team, management, etc.
